I don't hate winter but I do HATE snow. I don't hate the cold weather. In fact, I love it when it's cold.

I look at it this way... If I'm cold, I can just put on more clothing. Plus, winter fashion is so much nicer than summer fashion, IMO.

I hate summer weather though. Why? When it's hot, I have to take off clothing but eventually I'll reach a point where I'm naked. And what do I do after that point? Skin myself, meat myself, and bone myself until there's nothing left?

And it's not going to be any better with global warming now...

I'd rather have snow storms than heatwaves.

I hate snow... I hate winter.... I hate shoveling snow... winter is for wooly mammoths and people who think seal blubber is a nice snack.

I'll take the hottest day over the coldest day any day.... naked is good... there's shade and water to cool me off when naked isn't enough.  :)

I'm inclined to agree - I'll take 30 over -30 any day of the week!!!

The plow FINALLY got to my street this morning.  Of course - it was after I went outside to check (and so I go in - put on my suit - walk outside - and there is now a 4 foot high retaining wall at the end of my driveway).

For some reason - across the street the plow only left a 1/2 high mound.  How is that for a kick in the pants?

Yeah it's weird weather, hope the crappy weather keeps hitting Canada, I am heading to Mexico in 4 weeks, and it'll just make it that much sweeter.

We live in Canada, it's a part of life. But us Canadians seem to gripe about all kinds of weather. It's to cold :( it's to hot :( to much rain :( to much snow :( where's the snow for Christmas :( waa waa waa people learn to deal with it and enjoy it. Don't want to shovel get a neighbour's kid to shovel it.

Shoveling the driveway is my way to get out the house by my self for an hour. and get in shape for the hot times ahead.

Hate to say it but you guys out east are complaning a little too much about your weather out there. When you guys were in the plus 10 a few weeks back we here in Alberta(Edmonton in particular) were buried in the snow with our average high of minus 30C for two weeks and a few days our high was only minus 47C with out a windchill.

I'm the winter guy...I love the cold...I love sleeping during the winter season...I have my sunroof of the car ajar at times when the temps are around -5...I like to drive fast and 'drift' safely in the snow when I can (My Si Civic is much quicker and handles better than a lot of SUVs with my cheap winter tires). It's the mugginess (heat and humidity) that kills me during the summer seasons...Ugh!!!

But of course!  We are Canadian, therefore we bitch!

Of course, I think this particular thread will just stay open; the comments will change with the weather:

"Oh, man!  All this rain!  All this mud!  I hate spring!"

"It's sooo hot!  I feel like I'm melting, melting!  I hate summer!"

"All these leaves, and now my hayfever allergy is kicking in!  I hate the fall!"

Or, worst (or best) of all:

"Oh, man, the weather's perfect!  I don't have a thing to whine about!  Now I'll have to go onto Snowtroopers and gripe about the lack of new figures!"

I hear that - three days straight of 70-90km winds started to get on my nerves. My BBQ on my back deck even got dumped over - that's NEVER happened before! Finally it's stopped and now it's 10 degrees out (instead of -13 with god-knows-what for windchill).

I am from sunny manitoba (we had a beautiful sunny day today) Right now its a balmy -21C, -34C with the wind.  This is toasty right now. Most morning when I go to work, its about -30C and -45WC.  I diligently pile my 3 layers on bottom layer clothes on, my 5 layers of upper clothes on, 3 toques on and head off to work.  the worst thing about this is all the sweating I do during the day, and then have the sweaty clothes attract the cold.  now everything is spread across the floor so it can dry so I can do it all over again tomorrow :) :confused0024: :sign0065:

We in Kingston were even luckier!! 6 inches of snow followed immediately by a massive downpour of rain!!! Most excellent to shovel cement around the driveway. Snowblowers don't work for that muck!! Each scoop was about 75lbs, thank goodness for the hottub!!

Let me be the first to gripe about the 5-10 cm of snow expected to fall in Edmonton today. As I look out the window at 8:15 a.m., it has begun. I think we need a new season to describe the back-and-forth period between Spring and Winter. Let's call it Splinter.

Canadian Seasons:

June 15 - September 7: Summer (It gets nice out before school is over to torture the kids and it seems that after the Labour Day long weekend, it gets crappy out)
September 8 - October 30: Fall (It always seems to want to snow on Halloween)
- - We could add in Flinter if the snow comes in September - -
October 31 - April 1: Winter
April 1 - May 1: Splinter
May 1 - June 14: Spring (with the temporary return of Splinter for the May long weekend of course)

It was 107F on Tuesday.
