So did anyone here end up attending this convention? Was it any good? I've never been to the one in Quebec City. Only to the one In Montreal, Qc.

Still need it? I have one...

Hi everyone!

Just giving you a headsup that the next greatest toy show in Montreal will be on October 25th 2015, at the Marriot's Courtyard, from 10am to 4pm.

As for every year, admission is only 5bucks, and kids under 5 yrs get in for free.

To anyone who has never been at this show, it's a fun show to attend and a great place to find toys and collectibles. There's over 50 dealer tables, but don't be fooled by this number, because there are dealers that are specialized in several action figure lines, too many for me to name. It's an event by collectors, for collectors, and also a great family event, lots of toys to find for your loved ones, and it's all organized by the very awesome people at Toys On Fire.

I insist on the fact that they are awesome, because I've been to several shows out in the Montreal area, and it's rare to still pay a 5buck admission for a 1 day experience that is as near as cool as the Montreal Toy Con. Unlike for any other event in the greater Montreal area, they've come to show that it's still possible to maintain a humble formula that works, as well as sparing the extravagent admission fees that come with bigger conventions.

So if you have nothing special planned on that day, and you do love action figures and toys in general, it's worth to check it out (hey it's once a year right? ).

Star Wars Movies & TV shows / Re: Lucas "retiring"
« on: January 23, 2012, 10:53:10 PM »
I will be at least TRYING to go see TPM 3D, for the following reasons:
1. It's still Star Wars
2. Never seen a 3D movie before, so I'll give it a whirl
3. I need any excuse I can lately to get out of the house!

I just came out from another Jedi meditation (power nap) and this is what I think now of TPM3D:

1.I agree that it's still Star Wars, just not of the same caliber as the other ones
2.I think out of all three, TPM3D is the one that will look dramatically different compared to its original counterpart release, especially the Naboo pod race and the worlds/ battles on Naboo will look better (I'm now reconsidering darthpaul's offer  :) )
3. Sinkie, if you're going to go see the TPM3D with that same degree of enthusiasm, then you should go see GI joe 2: Retaliation, I heard that It's gonna Rock  :)

I don't like 3D, but there are a few reasons I'll be going.

1 - To relive the experience of seeing these.
2 - To share it with my friends and family.
3 - It will be the first time my 5 year will see them in the theatre.  We've tried not to show him too much from the movies.
4 - I've got about a dozen movie passes.

Simon - I've got a pass for you too.  Just come on down to London.

Hey thanks, that is really cool of you darthpaul, but unfortunately I see no point for my part in reliving an experience I couldn't enjoy as much, so again I kindly thank you anyway for the good intentions, but I personally would rather support GL by going to see Red Tails.
