The Vintage Collection (TVC) / Re: TVC - Jabba's sail Barge!!!!!
« on: March 03, 2018, 07:02:24 PM »
i do want it, but i was on the fence at $500 price point. Then i realized that it would be more $750 after conversion. That's more than my rent. Could buy a 3D printer and print my own for that much. So, i'm glad they opened it up to Canada for those who have the money, but at that price point i have to say no.

One down, three more to go.

Just got my first Black Series 3.75" Rogue One figure from Old Man Ben. He went way out of his way to make the transaction as smooth and as easy on the pocket book as possible.

Excellent dealing with him.

PM sent. Thanks. It's a good start.

i was afraid that somehow i had just missed them. i'm not the collector i once was (who is these days?).

I'm in Ottawa, i have never seen this wave available in stores or on the Walmart website. i am currently looking for these figures, ideally decently painted.

- Jyn Erso

- Cassian
- Scarif Stormtrooper
- Imperial Death Trooper
- Imperial Guard (not part of that wave, but i still never saw them available)

If anyone has these for sale, or knows of a alternative to Amazon and eBay, i'd like to hear from you please and thank you.

Scout Report / Re: Walmart Clearance on TFA product

i can't add anything more than what has already been said. i've pretty well stopped collecting after the last few waves of the Vintage collection, when it stopped being fun because finding any product was impossible. And if you could, it was outrageous overpriced. i don't give a toss about the 6" line, and even less so for the 5POA line. The SA 3.75" line is abysmal at best, in so many ways. And now this. An overpriced, poorly made and nearly impossible to find "collector" line that no one will want.

So this is how the most successful, decade and generation spanning, movie tie-in toy line dies.

Well done.

Scout Report / Re: The Force Awakens products found!!!!

Just saw the new figures on the Rebelscum page. i had heard they were going to 5POA for TFA, but i was hoping it was a dirty lie. But, as it turns out, it is not. i mean, on one hand it's good that they dropped the ball so badly, as far as making appealing figures for collectors, because i haven't had to buy a figure in at least a year (Ottawa has sweet bupkis as far as ... well, anything unless you like 6" Greedo and Slave Leia), so i save money. And i personally have ZERO interest in Hasbro's so-called "love letter to fans" with the 6" line, so there's that.
Of course, on the other hand, it would have been nice to have ANYTHING from the TFA merch that was appealing. Sadly, again, no. Save money, but stop short a Star Wars figure collection that had spanned decades and 6 movies. At least i'll always have Lego.

Same thing happened in Ottawa, with only a few Yarna's left and a few Ice Cream Maker guys.  And calling it a Star Wars Section would be being kind as they barely have any stock.  The defining product is Star Wars Angry Birds with a smattering of Clone Wars figures.  i haven't been looking to TRU for my action figure needs for some time and from the looks of it i won't be in the immediate future.
