Scout Report / Re: Post Retail Finds of NEW PRODUCT Here!

thanks im tempted on ordering one. anyone have this all ready, i have heard it is very very small compared to the other awings

Yes I've got it, and it's super tiny compared to the others. The dart shooter is painfully obvious, but the paint job is well done and the Hera figure is all new and it looks pretty good.

I saw the wave 2 vintage figures at my TRU last week, so they should be coming. If I had to guess, I'd say that we're not seeing the Galen/Raddus wave at Walmart because the pegs are so clogged with the previously scwaves and so there's no new orders coming in. I wouldn't be surprised to see them show up later in the summer but that's just a guess.

It's worth noting that the Baze figure from the wave 3 (Finn/Phasma) case has a different, less yellow skin tone from the original release. It looks a bit better.

Yep! EB, TRU, and Walmart have all had them so far.

Here's my two cents on each of the 6 figures from wave 2 of the 40th Anniversary Black Series Line:

Stormtrooper - nothing significant here, painted ever so slightly differently from the original. Good to have another chance at these guys.

Chewbacca - either intentionally or not, the paint on this one is a little bit different than the original. This one looks just a bit better, in my opinion.

C-3PO - straight repack of the EB exclusive, nothing new with this one

Jawa - great figure, looks awesome. The only issue I've found is that the cloth robe hinders the leg and knee movement.

Death Squad Commander - this figure looks fantastic. Hasbro nailed this one.

Sand People - another amazing figure. The alternate pieces for the Gaffi stick add some nice variety and the cloth robe works pretty well.

So, 3 easy passes for those who've been collecting for a while, and 3 brand new figures that are all pretty great.

Managed to pick up this set a while back at Walmart along with the Baze Vs. Stormtrooper set. Pretty good set overall.

The good:
Both Maul and the Seventh Sister look like they stepped right out of the show (provided you can find a Seventh Sister that isn't squinting or lopsided). Both Maul's hood and the Inqusitor's mask are great accessories that interact very well with the figures. The mask needs to be pushed all the way back on the Seventh Sister's face, but once that's done the result is quite impressive. Maul's tattoos are applied pretty well, which always seems to be an issue with shirtless Maul figures.  :maul:

The bad:
It's extremely hard to get the Seventh Sister to stay standing, and she has trouble holding her lightsaber because of her rubbery hands. The lightsaber blades seem a bit too short, especially in comparison to Maul's.

All in all, an impressive set and one of the best in the Rebels line to date. It's a shame that it took so long to get here, but it's good to finally have it. Overall, I'd give this set an 8/10.

Looks like had the Maul/Seventh Sister pack at some point but it's now showing out of stock:

Saw both the Baze and Maul sets at a local TRU. Better late than never, I suppose. :P

I'll be quite happy with this, as long as it's done right. I've heard that the original camera negatives hold a resolution even greater than 4K, so a restoration could work wonders. Of course, then we'll all have to go out and buy 4K TVs!  :speechless-smiley-004:

Welcome aboard. What sparked your interest in Star Wars, which movies were you introduced to first PT, OT, both at the same time?  What are your collecting intrests, Hasbro loose, carded, Kenner vintage, 12", Sideshow, GG, replica's, busts, video games???  Are there any key pieces that you'd like to aquire for your collection?

Good luck with your collection and welcome to   :snowtroopers:

I first got into Star Wars when my dad showed me the old Clone Wars cartoon on Teletoon back around the time RotS came out. From then on, I was hooked. I first saw the majority of TESB and ROTJ on TV, then I saw RotS in the theatre. After that, I was given a DVD copy of Star Wars (ANH), then I went out and bought TPM and AotC. To this day, I prefer the OT to the PT (don't we all?). As for collecting, I collect loose Hasbro figures (both 3,75 and 6"), video games, comics, some Koto, some LEGO, DVDs/Blu-Rays, and Autographs. I'd like to get into collecting the Sideshow stuff one day, likely when the Hasbro line dies off and/or I lose interest in it. At the moment, I'm after the EE exclusive Mandalorian and Clone sets that were released in the 30th Anniversary line.

Thanks for the warm welcome(s)!

Hey there!
I've been a longtime "lurker", and I decided I would bite the bullet and join. I'm guessing I might be one of the youngest folks on here, but I've got the same dedication to collecting and Star Wars that my fellow Snowtroopers have. I look forward to being a part of the community!
