3M has a product that is great. it's a plastic hook (many sizes to choose from) and a sticky backing. if you deside to remove the hook simple pull the down backing and the hook comes off without damaging your wall. i use these at work and people hang there lab coats on them before they enter the washroom and they are strong. so holding a carded figure will be no problem. you can get them at HomeDepot.

Wampa Cave / Re: Ebay scam or not?

I sell and buy off Ebay and i love PayPal. I never had a problem. not to mention ebay has looked after me very well when i have encounteered a deadbeat bidder or an awful seller. you are also taking chances on bidding on new sellers. bidding on an auction is like an investment you want to ot do your homework first. I would notify Ebay and let them handle this. and if the guys doesn't respond to Ebay, move on. at least this way he won't be able to leave you a negative feedback. good luck.

that was great. i liked the force struggle for the one light saber. then activating the light saber to kill the guy. very cool. costumes whould have been a good addition. i was also impressed with there swordsmanship.

$20.00 dollars for a Queen Amadala action figure for my daughter, the look on her face when i gave it to her, priceless. no regrets.

Wampa Cave / full scale cockpit
« on: October 27, 2005, 02:58:03 PM »
has anyone heard about  star wars going to the Boston museum of Science? i stumbled across something on the internet and it sounds awsome but i couldn't find any dates as to when it is showing. there is a full scale millenium falcom cockpit, a land speeder that actually hovers and hundreds of props and costumes from all the movies including a place were the kids can make there own robots. this is one place i have to check out.

Wampa Cave / Re:Action figure stands??
« on: June 27, 2005, 09:19:16 AM »
when making dioramas i glue all the figures down with a low tempature glue gun. i have glued down hundreds of figures with this method and the great thing is you can remove the figure and peel the glue off if you decide to change your figures around and it will not damage the figure.the other nice thing about this is it cools off with in 20-30 seconds so you won't have to hold it in place while it is cooling off. the displays i have made for Toy Traders are all on an angle so the public can see them so i needed to glue them down. i do make plastic stands but they are for GI Joe figures.

Wampa Cave / have you ever had to improvise?
« on: June 22, 2005, 07:14:01 PM »
i was telling my kids when i was a kid i saw a picture of the snowspeeder and i went crazy, i wanted it so bad. but living on the farm out in the middle of no were made it difficult to get one. so i found an old toaster, the kind that had fold down sides and i predended this was my snowspeeder. i can just picture it now running around the feilds with my rubber boots on and a toaster in my hand making rocket engine sounds and pretending to shoot the cows.
have you ever had to improvise as a kid?

my wife and my 2 girls took me out for breakfast and gave me a bunch of gifts. then we spent the day bargain shopping at the flea markets looking for treasures. we had a great time.
it so nice to here there are great dads out there. for us being toy collectors we have to keep everything in balance and not spend more time looking for toys then hanging out with are kids. there are too many seperations and divorces out there due to too much time spent at work or hobbies.
this is proof from these postings that we can have the it all as long as there is balance.
great job dads.

Wampa Cave / Re:arrghh Ebay auction that made me cry

i sell on Ebay on a regular base and the shipping end of it is not that great. it is cheeper to mail a small package to the UK, France, Japan etc. then it is to send it within Canada. Canadians always freak out when i give them the shipping cost and i add no handling fee on top. i tell them if you think i am scamming you look at the package and see the postage when you receive it. i had one person Email me with an apology because he called me a few nasty things but realized i was telling the truth about the price when it came in the mail. i live close to the US Border so i opened a parcel box which is only $10.00 a year and i save on shipping. and i have never been hasseled at the boarder when declairing the packages. i also ship all my large items from down in the US. it is way cheeper and again no hassel.

Wampa Cave / Re:Toys r us star wars modles?
« on: June 15, 2005, 09:09:31 AM »
i have a few of the new models and they are good. detail is still there. i notice i difference in the X-wing cockpit, there isn't the same detail as the original one. the figures always sucked with these models. the snow speeder pilots have these long monkey arms that are down to there feet and the x-wing pilot looks odd and Darth Vader is sitting on what looks to be a box but overall the ships are awsome. i recommend getting a couple and put them away for winter. if you are living around Langley BC stop in at Toy Traders they have the whole line at a better price then the other stores.
the next one i want is the biker scout with speeder bike, very cool.

I have a mold of both and i plan on making an army of each kind with my plastic injection machine because i can't decide. they are a equally cool.
