Could have done with out the quips and would have appreciated some background on each photo though.

Expanded Universe - Legacy & the New EU / 3PO & Darth pic
« on: December 04, 2005, 10:50:47 AM »
I recall seeing a pic of Darth Vader holding 3PO's head on Cloud City from a comic book.
I can't find it now for the life of me and I know I saw it here (somewhere) on the Snowtroopers site.
Any help would be appreciated.

LONDON (AP) - Michael Sheard, who played Adm. Ozzel in "The Empire Strikes Back" and Adolf Hitler five times, including in "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade," died Wednesday at the age of 65, his agent said.

Sheard, who had been suffering from cancer, died at his home on the Isle of Wight off the southern coast of England, agent Liz Hobbs said.

Sheard appeared in more than 40 feature films, working with Lawrence Olivier, David Niven, Roger Moore and Sean Connery.

He is best known in Britain for his role as Maurice Bronson, the teacher who terrorized his pupils in the long-running teenage soap opera, "Grange Hill."

Sheard is survived by his wife, Ros, and three children. Funeral details were not immediately available.

I know some people saw a Correllian (SP) frieghter but what about some of the other stuff.
I saw it twice already but I can't remember where the Wilhelm is or where 1138 might have been etc.
Any potatoes?

Geared more towards the people who don't breath it daily (like there's something else to do !?!)  but I thought the wrong answers were pretty funny.
Embarassed to say I got 3 and 5 wrong :-[.

Video Games / Cold Fear......
« on: April 04, 2005, 11:06:52 PM »
.....is a poor man's Resident Evil with pretty much the same story but I'm having some fun with it. Made me jump a few times as well.
I especially like the over the shoulder camera angle and laser sighting when you are aiming at something. It also has good atmosphere.
Any one else try it?

Wampa Cave / Yoda in Carbonite
« on: March 25, 2005, 01:52:00 PM »
I'm a big Han In Carbonite fan, and in my searches for some models I've come across some pretty neat and funny stuff. Most I can't find to purchase and I lost some of the pics during a re-vamp of my computer but I found this one today:

http://www.starshipmodeler.com/contest/kit_01.htm

I've also seen Homer In Carbonite and Jar Jar In Carbonite, if any one has any info on these I would appreciate it.

Thought maybe at least one of you would get a kick out of this.

You could finally tell the wife that the "Dogs Playing Poker" painting behind the couch in the living room can finally be taken down.

Wampa Cave / Some one's trapped in the Star Destroyer!
« on: December 19, 2004, 11:09:56 AM »
Saw this in a modelling forum I frequent and thought it was pretty funny. He was definately paying attention that day!
Here's what the gentleman wrote:

A couple of years ago I was fortunate
to have seen loads of models and props
of all the StarWars stuff at the Barbican centre
in London.
Needless to say I took loads of photographs of
choice models etc,but there is one that has me intrigued.
I took a couple of photos of the Super star destroyer
as the attention to detail on this huge model is
almost inhuman, whilst studying the photos in
close detail,as you do,I noticed something
that can only be an injoke on the
model makers part, there is quite clearly seen
in the enlargement pic a dolls arm sticking up
through all the decking!!!
Does anyone here know the reason for this
bit of modelmaking shenanegary,is that even a real word?!?!
Anyway here are the pics...

Wondering which game I should play next and don't want to waste my holidays on bad games.
Thanks in advance.
