« on: August 23, 2017, 11:41:21 PM »
Does any one know what movie they are filming on Coxwell in Toronto? There was a snowy high school scene with a giant R2-D2 snowman on someone's car?
I will try to post a pic. Lol

Wampa Cave / movie marathon
« on: August 12, 2007, 08:04:23 PM »
I went to my sister-in laws house for a Star Wars movie marathon party this weekend. They have a big screen and projector with surround sound.  :)`
We only watched Episode 1 Friday night.
On Saturday we watched Episode 2 followed by The Clone Wars and then Episodes 3,4 and 5.
Most people left after episode 5, so we watched Jedi this morning after church.

It was great to watch Revenge of the Sith and then A New Hope back to back, that's something I've always wanted to do.

I also brought over my R2-D2 Pepsi cooler and actually used it for the first time.
We had a Star Wars cake, loot bags and tons of good food. It was awesome!

We wanted to watch all 6 in one day but knew it wouldn't be possible with all the kids.
Anyone done all 6 at once or have any other good movie marathon experiences?

Wampa Cave / 80's Star Wars Lego?
« on: March 27, 2007, 11:25:15 PM »
I just went Scum to look up vintage lego, and according to them SW lego started in the 90's with TPM.
I know my friend had X-wings and Ties in 85'. Did he build his own or was there a lego knockoff back then? But I thought I remember minifigs too. Or am I

Wampa Cave / I want to start a toy shop
« on: February 12, 2007, 11:28:58 AM »
Hey, I need some advice,
I'm really considering opening a toy store. I might start just selling on line and seeing how that goes. What I need to know is, will it be worth it? I'm not looking to get rich, but I love dealing with toys. How do other places do it? Do You need a $10,000 contract with hasbro? Or do they buy stuff in bulk from EE or something and resell?
I would love some sponsor input too, I know you don't need competition, so feel free to talk me out of it. Has anyone tried this? What are the pros and cons? My wife thinks I'm nuts, but is it worth a shot?
Thanks a lot
Tom

Video Games / XBox trouble
« on: August 15, 2006, 12:10:26 PM »
hi guys,
I borrowed my nephews Xbox for the week and after using it for a couple hours
the screen froze. I rebooted it and it said,"Xbox doesnt recognize this disc... etc.."
I tried all his games and a few movies and it said the same thing for each one.
I called him and he said its never done that before. Do I need to buy the kid a new xbox,
or is there an Xbox repair place?

can anyone help me out?
Thanks

Wampa Cave / I missed the best Minis Deal ever!
« on: June 23, 2006, 01:27:27 AM »
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8829709042&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEDW%3AIT&rd=1

All 60 Rebel storm Minis, for $40 on Ebay, I fell asleep and got beaten, by one dollar.  >:(
I was going to go up to $60, because a dollar each would have still been an awesome deal.
(I've seen the Boba Fett go for $60 alone)
Fett, Emperor, speeder bike, Wampa , Jabba, Jedi Luke, and so many more...
I feel like crying :( or seeking revenge   :maul:  or horse-whipping myself

Wampa Cave / late Valentine gift!!!
« on: February 22, 2006, 11:23:50 AM »
Last night my wife gave me a late Valentine present,
a poster from her school library.
It's Yoda holding a book and it says    :yoda: "Read and the Force will be with you"
I remember this poster from like 20 years ago, and I've wanted one since
but I thought it said "Read You Will"
Maybe this is a newer one?

I'll post a pic if I figure out how
anyway like Jar Jar said on a cheesy card I saw
"Meesa wish you Maxi-big Val day!!!  :~/~:"

Wampa Cave / stupid Ebay moment
« on: October 24, 2005, 09:50:05 PM »
About every six months I buy something stupid on Ebay.
Here's the latest...
I saw a red saga battle droid I needed, the bid was almost over and it was at 3 bucks, I kept getting outbid and it went to $6. more than I wanted to pay but 6 bucks isn't too bad. Then I went to the same sellers store and saw a Commander Gree for $7 (buy it now) So I thought "only a dollar more than the battle droid." so I scooped that. 13 for two figs I needed, not bad... until I added shipping, exchange, and cost of a money order. anyway it cost me close to $30 by the time it was over.

anyone else get caught in the heat of the moment on Ebay and regret their stupidity?

Wampa Cave / 1983 Star Wars arcade game
« on: September 20, 2005, 02:13:51 PM »
Did anyone play the ATARI Star Wars game in the arcade back in the 80's?
The graphics were pretty bad (only coloured outlines of ships, and the death star)
But it had great music and sound clips from the movie.

At the time I thought it was just as awesome as being in the movies,
It felt like I was Luke Skywalker, as you aproached your target, you could hear Ben say  "use the force Luke"
The only time I skipped class in high school was if I had some extra quarters to burn.

Wampa Cave / Waiting for loose Sith
« on: July 15, 2005, 08:28:23 PM »
I havn't been buying much Sith toys because I mostly collect loose, and when AOTC came out I just bought all the figures as they were released. Now I have bins of carded Saga that I paid $7 a fig, because I can't bring myself to open them. So now I'm looking for loose Saga anyway.
I don't want to make the same mistake with Sith, so I've only been buying the newer ones, and rares (vader, clones)etc..
but now I have a lot of catching up to do, and I'm getting nervous that I won't be able to find them all. In a couple years there will probably be tonnes of loose on Ebay, I'm just finding it hard not to buy them.
any advice?
