Just a heads up - from now until 2013, ALL basic Star Wars figures (Priced at $12 or less) are TWO FOR $15!

Plenty of waves to select from - all lines included from 1995 to current!

Off Topic / Our Toys Were Better
« on: February 27, 2010, 06:04:33 PM »
I wanted to let you guys know about a website that a buddy of mine started up that showcases "us" when we were kids in the 70's / 80's with the toys we had then. There's only a few images posted thusfar, but feel free to submit your own images of you with your toys back then.

There's not many images just yet - and he'd not making this site to make money from it or anything like that, he just thought it would be a cool idea and started it!

I posted some of me getting christmas gifts... one has some Canadian 12back figures laying on the couch next to me. lol.

He'll refuse anything after 1990, so be sure whatever you submit it prior to that. ;-)

Vintage Kenner (1978-1985) / Is the Vintage Stuff dead?
« on: February 19, 2010, 08:22:36 PM »
I'll admit, I don't come here nearly as much as I once did. But when I did come by, I always enjoyed checking out the vintage threads.

Kinda shocked to see there's hardly been any posts in the last year in this section.... what's going on!?

Wampa Cave / Dog hates Star Wars?
« on: June 20, 2009, 03:02:03 PM »
I'm usually not one to point out a you tube vid. But you guys might get a laugh out of this.

And yes, it has a Star Wars connection.

Lets say just say the dog doesn't care for Episode One either.

Love to hear some of your thoughts. ;-)

Snowtrooper Collections / BHT Toy Room
« on: May 13, 2006, 10:20:01 AM »
No, still not 100% done, in fact I'll be altering one part of it and getting rid of my MOC VOTC set as I have no 'love' for that set since they expnded it.

If you want to help out with my 'mission', please check my wants list - the link is in my sig tag.

Feel free to look around, but please don't touch anything... everything is as I want it to be (for now). ;-)

MAJOR updates to the 'misc. section, piper case, and fett case.  :)

Vintage Kenner (1978-1985) / AFA Droids Fett on ebay.

Anyone see what is obviously wrong with this auction?
I was seriously going to email an offer in.

Vintage Kenner (1978-1985) / Regal Chewbacca (4 Foot tall version)
« on: March 17, 2006, 12:41:59 PM »
I got in one of these huge wookies the other day, made a posting on my site, and since then I've been contacted by folks in Canada, the U.S., Japan, Australia, the UK, and this morning someone emailed me from Denmark for him. I've also been contacted by some people on this site.

I'm contemplating keeping it mainly because of how hard it is to actually locate this version of the Regal Chewbacca, and it's a cool vintage item to have..... plus I have a spot just big enough for him in my 'toy room'. ;-)

And before you ask, no, this is not the one on ebay that someone is asking $400.00 for.  :shakehead:

So, here's my questions....

I know there was a few on ebay, but I never 'followed' them up to see what they went for. (I had some folks tell me what they 'thought' it went for...)

Anyone have an 'actual' idea how many of these were made / exist today. I'heard/read SO many things that I have no clue what is truth anymore.

Should I keep it.... or sell it?

For the record, he's missing 3 of his ammo clips, and the Kenner Tag.
Here's a pic of him:

I'm taking the weekend to decide, but any info you guys can offer would be helpful.

Snowtrooper Collections / BHT Toy Room (UPDATED: Oct 8th!)
« on: September 16, 2005, 12:01:31 PM »
My Toy Room is going to surprise alot of you.

Since I'm surrounded by toys ALL day, I thinned out my personal collection about 4 years ago. Two years ago (when we were robbed), I brought my stuff into the store to 'help it out' - I ripped myself off - the store paid $10.00 for all my stuff! :-)

Now that I have a house to set things up in, I've started doing just that.
I don't 'need' to have MIB or MOC items, I'm an opener, and I always will be.
I'm still working on it, but if anyone is interested in how it's going so far, you can check some pics out here:

Like I said however, it's not a 'typical' toy room - I'm more into the display factor than looking at boxes and boxed piled up. :-)

PS - The blue REALLY isn't THAT Blue.... it looks darker in there - must be the flash.

20% seems like a nice round number, so that's what it'll be. The 'online' sale will start around 6:00pm THIS Saturday. It will run until 2am EST. That should give everyone plenty of time to get in on the deals. :-)

At 6:00pm, when I relaunch the site, there will be a 'news posting' with the discount code in it. Enter that code upon checkout BEFORE picking your shipping/payment options and the site will discount your order immediately.
We may set a limit for how many people can be in the store at one time during the sale, should the shop get too crowded.
Plan on getting there early as the doors open exactly at 10:30am!

Wampa Cave / Give Away some Star Wars Toys!
« on: December 04, 2004, 11:12:02 AM »
I know this should be in the off topic section, but I'm hoping the mods will leave it here since it will be seen more.

Every year in December, I donate anywhere from 20 to 50 action figures to various 'toy drops' around the city. True, it is stock that I have too much of, but the basis for doing so is that every kid should get toys for Christmas. With the multitude of donation centers in everyones city, I personally think we should ALL take one packaged (sealed) toy from our collection (or go buy one) and donate it in your area. I would expect (hope) all other 'sponsors' of this site do so as well. The main reason we collect Star Wars is because we love it, or/and it relates to our youth.

Make an effort to donate some toys this year gang. I've done it every year since I was 17, and now I'm 31. Since I've had the store, I've been doing the 'bigger drops' for the last 4 years. It makes you feel good and more importantly it'll make a less privilaged child feel good.

That's it. That's all I wanted to say. Heck Koda, feel free to post this on the main board if you wish - the more people that help out those that can't afford to have a happy holiday - the better!

Wampa Cave / Help nominate BHT!!!
« on: July 14, 2004, 05:17:14 PM »
So last year we (Bounty Hunter Toys) were nominated as one of the best toy stores in Hamilton. It doesn't really mean anything since it's just in the local paper, but it was cool to be nominated, and we did get a HELL of alot of collections in because of it.

Anyway, this year the Spectator (the local paper) is allowing folks to nominate people ONLINE.

So umm???..... Who wants to help?!

I won't lie, I'd LOVE to be nominated for it a 2nd year in a row! We were up against Toys R Us and Walmart - we beat Walmart, but eventually lost out to that damn giraffe. (TRU).

The link to do the nominating is here:

I really don't 'expect' everyone to nominate for us. Heck, I'm sure a few will vote for TRU just to spite us. But even if it wasn't my store, I'd still be rooting for a 'little' guy in the hobby since the big guys obviously don't care about the collector or even support the lines like us little guys try to!

oops..... got off on a tangent there.... heh heh.

Bottom line, I'd love to be nominated again, and I'm asking for all of your help.
If you click that link above, you'll be required to enter in some of your information, name, mailing addy, phone #, etc. They always give away a prize when the 'official' nominations come out, and since they're allowing anyone - ANYWHERE in the world to participate, you could end up with some extra cash from them just for helping out!
(More money to buy more Star Wars figs!)

Please consider it guys, it'll take a few seconds of your time, and it would mean the world to me...... heck, if we make it in, I'll even give my fellow Troopers a 'nice' discount on our site! ;-)

PS - Feel free to repost anywhere! ;-)

Wampa Cave / Update on Robbery........ not really.... but sorta!
« on: April 07, 2004, 05:02:30 PM »
Firstly, if you have no clue what this is about, please read the thread located here :;action=display;threadid=326

Now onto my 'new' post:

I was awoken today by my Mother phoning me at 7am.
She 'HAD' to tell me about an article that was in the paper today.

"Man must repay bank $130,000.00 in fraud case"

Basically, the main suspect in my store being robbed is the 'man' the article is about!
I called the cops handling my robbery today and asked if THIS article was the reason they 'couldn't' arrest him. (Since they had enough on him).
I was told back then that he was already 'involved' in something of a more important nature......

Anyway, the Basic run-around answer after talking to the officer that handled our robbery......... YES.
$130,000.00 CND is a tad more important than my $17,000.00 in toys.

...even I have to agree with that.

Canadian law sucks at times.......

If you're interested in reading the write up on it, a customer was kind enough to scan it and email it to me - so I'm nice enough to post it on my site for others to see.

Needless to say, my toys are now 100% gone... but this does cheer me up a tad.
