I was asked to post some of my customs that I have done. I created a flickr site:

I will be adding more as I go along.

Off Topic / How long is too long
« on: May 08, 2007, 11:03:21 PM »
I won an item on E-bay back in mid-April (around the 16th) . I paid for it the next day (when I got the e-mail that I won). I have been waiting and wondering if it got lost in the mail since it hasn't turned up yet.

Today, I got an e-mail indicating that my purchase was shipped out today. That would be 3 weeks after the purchase.  :mad0137: There was no e-mail sent to indicate that it was not going to be shipped until today, the item said that it would be shipped as soon as I paid for it, and I am paying a hefty shipping fee.

So. I am wondering, how long is too long to wait? Should I send the seller a pissy e-mail indicating I am not happy? Should I leave a bad feedback? I don't plan to do business again with him. He has left me some positive feedback so I really don't want to look all childish.

Wampa Cave / What Star Wars toy regrets do you have?
« on: April 09, 2007, 05:04:39 PM »
I was talking with friends about regrets about things we wished we would have done. I was recalling the time that I was at a Buy-Rite drugs in 1988 and they had a clearance bin of Star Wars toys. I could have bought figures for 25 to 99 cents. They had ships from 2 dollars to 20. The worst part was the light sabers for 99 cents each. I wanted to buy a bunch but my parents freaked out on me being too old (I was 14 at the time) and wasting my money.

Alas, I left them and I am sure there was some collector in Regina that got his fill of toys.

I read earlier that someone was upset that they didn't buy a Naboo Cruiser when they were on sale at Walmart. I am sure there are more out there.

Snowtrooper Recruitment / New to this wonderful place

Hey there everyone.

I have been a lurker to the site since ROTS figs came out and someone told me about this place. I just finally changed jobs and have the ability to read the forums more so I thought I would sign up. So far, I have seen some toys I want, some customs I want to do and gains more information about my obsession.

I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, which might as well be the middle of the Pacific for the toys we get here. I travel around Saskatchewan, so I actually find more of my collectables in Lloydminster, Swift Current, Regina, Moose Jaw and Yorkton. Pathetic huhn?

I stall have all of my Star Wars toys that I got as a kid (I got a 12" Luke for my 4th birthday and I still have it (minus the accessories but hey I was 4). I got a Millenium Falcon that year for Christmas and still have it in pretty good condition.

I never stopped collecting from 78 on. During the dry spell of the 80's and early 90's I scoured garage sales and added toys to my collection. I bought the first Buff Luke with Long Lightsaber that was taken out of the case from the K-mart in Yorkton and giddily opened it in the car on the way to work.

Now I pick up the figures and ships that fascinate me. I love the clones and the "GI Joe" style of bodies they have now. I also do some customizing and have made a few interesting figures.

Well, I am sure after reading all this you are ready to not reply. However, a friendly hello would be nice.
