Just got a superfast payment from leebo - great communication, quick responses to messages.

Thanks for buying, enjoy the items!

I don't know how helpful this will be to many troopers but my local Movie Gallery is closing out (I live in northern Alberta). My understanding is the chain went belly up in the USA so the liquidators made the Canadian stores close. That's what the clerk told me anyway.

So, I went to peruse the sales (not that great yet) and I saw they were selling the shelves - for great prices. The first thing I thought of was displaying toys on them. The individual shelves are somewhere between 8-10 inches tall, 8 shelves per section =  about 7 foot high shelves with footing and headpiece, They are anywhere from 3 to 4 foot wide chunks, making for 10 - 12 foot wide sections for display (here they make you buy 2-3 sections together). They were asking between $40-60 for most sets of 3.

Some rough math tells me that is 24-32 linear feet of display space per section (3 or 4 feet times 8 shelves). The shelves are deep enough to hold several DVDs (like any video store shelf). I'm thinking they wouldn't be great for 12" figures but shelves in between can be taken out (there just ends up being a space behind).

Perhaps people can find these where they live and check them out.

Off Topic / Mad Max Interceptor Replica Car

Hey fellow troopers. So a while back I made a huge hoth diorama in my garage that took 2 sheets of plywood, 19 boxes of baking soda, and 100s of dollars of toys. Well, one of my brothers is just as crazy as me ( :speechless-smiley-004:   :speechless-smiley-004:)

He built a replica of the Mad Max Interceptor so I thought I'd share some pics. Enjoy!

StarCraft 2 is coming out July 27, 2010. Is anyone else looking forward to this? I used to play StarCraft years ago - very addicting. I think I'll check this game out, the demo looked pretty cool.
