Wampa Cave / Hot Toys Darth Vader & Obi Wan set
« on: December 01, 2014, 10:46:42 AM »
So I think many of us missed this on Friday with the release of the teaser trailer... however it's pretty much official. We will be getting this set!

I predicted this after the Han / Chewie set that either this set, or a Leia / Han set would follow and so far things look amazing. The bit of Obi Wan's face we can see looks very life like and the Vader scale wise is appropriate. Light up sabers are a hugggggge bonus.

Wampa Cave / Hot Toys Stormtrooper Set
« on: October 29, 2014, 04:38:06 PM »
Saw today that these have now been officially announced. What people thought before was going to be a Han/Luke swappable head set seems to not be the case. Hot Toys has intentionally made two different size figures... though I find this quite hard to believe that it wont be interchangeable with Luke/Han heads down the line.

Im personally going to be passing on the pair. 1) To save cash for what I hope is an Obi-Wan / Luke set or  Luke/Leia set before the end of 2014 or early into 2015 and 2) Because I already own 2 Medicom RAH Stormtroopers in the 1/6th scale (Which I believe to be fantastic figures overall... though the scale im slightly concerned about vs the Han/Chewie set but I think ill be able to look past it to save on dropping the cash for the actual Hot Toys Stormtroopers).

Wampa Cave / Star Wars & SDCC
« on: June 26, 2013, 01:18:50 PM »
Starting to see activity now ramping up for SDCC.

Anyone going? What exclusives are people drooling over? Any announcement/info predictions?

I will probably pick up the core OT characters but that's about it. I hope the final products look a lot better than those samples they showed.

Agree. That X-Wing Luke does not look top notch with the helmet on at all... dont like the looks of Vader either.

The Black Series (2013-2018) / The Black Series (6" Figure Line)
« on: April 09, 2013, 11:23:51 AM »
Anyone else seen the details of these online?

Appears to be a Marvel Legends-esque type line of figures. Little larger in size, solid articulation, and more detailed due to the increase in figure size etc.

The packing looks stellar being clean and simple. Overall I quite like it but feel that this line is around 3 years too late for me to get behind. Think one or two will grace some shelf space but not a line I feel is a full on must have with all releases.

Pre ordered this bad boy today - so stoked. Fortune and glory gents and this is pure SW gold! Will go great with the MR rifle and a custom Boba bucket  :character0007:

SSC: Star Wars Mythos - Boba Fett 1:5 Scale Statue

This thing is so bad to the bone its unbearable! Some may not like the crazy size of the rifle but this is right up my alley of with the over the top superior firepower type weaponry.

Wampa Cave / Ultimate Quarter Scale Jawa Figure Bank
« on: May 23, 2012, 06:52:06 PM »
Have any of my fellow Troopers seen any other promo photos of this thing?

9 inches tall which while I understand is to keep this in scale with other 1/4 scale figures - it still leaves me lacking something I've always wanted by my front door.... a Jawa with light up eyes  ;D

With the coming May Long Weekend approaching - we get what snow loving Canadians long for all year. Summer.

Patio season is starting and vacation time is getting booked, so its time to turn on some tunes and relax troopers. With summer comes music so I thought I would start a little thread for us all to share some of our fav's with a youtube link.  :character0007:

Computer Talk / Snowtroopers PC vs Mac Thread
« on: June 01, 2008, 05:21:34 PM »

Been hearing so much about the PC vs Mac thing everywhere lately. On TV in commercials, on Diggnation and Revision3 shows ( If you do not know about the Revision3 network - look it up online now - im sure your in for a huge treat.) and in the online community/users as a whole.

Im interested to know

1) Who uses it
2) Why they said " im using this "
3) What they would say to someone who was thinking " i may use that "

Im on a PC - have been since nearly day 1 - im using a PC cause really - thats all i know how to work with and i just deal with the bugs. But im tempted to go to Mac due to the software ( id love to make a homemade film someday, got a new Nikon D40 last year so picture stuff would be great - oh and the no viruses would be handy too...)

Wampa Cave / Its not about having what you want..
« on: February 24, 2008, 08:10:35 PM »
its about wanting what you got..

That line (dumb song but its stuck in my head forever due to retail jobs) was going through my head today as I waited for the bus.

I started to refer that line to a few things - one of which - collecting.

Is anyone else/has anyone else ever felt this way? The last few years I just havent felt the need to buy the products from my most favored and loved trilogies. Im more in th mode of waiting - not buying. Im waiting for things to come out that i honestly would feel the above line is truthful in regards to. Why buy 20 vaders - when I could have replica of vaders helmet to represent the dark lord etc etc.

Just a thought that im curious on others views in regards to.
