I watched the 1/2 hour preview for V the other night, it's got my interest, we will just have to see what the do with the storyline
I watched the complete original series not to long ago, although the special effects are dated , it's still more interesting to watch then some of the new shows out there

Wampa Cave / Re: Does an opened 12" fuzzy chewie exist?

I have it loose, I used the cargo net and c3po in pieces from the book C-3PO : Tales of the Golden Droid (Star Wars Masterpiece Edition) and stapped it on his back. I have alot of the older 12" but I don't think they have much value anymore, although the 12" snowtrooper is still an awesome figure  :winking0071:

The site is scheduled to get moved to a new server sometime this weekend, so expect some more downtime.
The forum has been moved, you should notice an increase in speed and reliability( back to normal ).  :D  Let us know if you have noticed any improvement in load times or if you are still having any issues.

Anyone using and please send me an email if you want to continue using it.

There will also be another Canadian Star Wars site using the forums after the move, but we will announce details later.

New members no longer need to be approved by admins when registering, so its a simpler quicker process, now so for any guests or lurkers  ;) feel free to join.

Any members who don't have access to the provincial forums, and want it let me know, if your a posting member you might have just been missed

Any members that haven't logged on in a few years or have 0 posts, your accounts are being removed, you can always register again.

Once things are running smooth again, make sure to let people know,  it would be nice to see this place busy again :D

Any questions, concerns or suggestions post here or send an email (link below)

You may have noticed continuing problems with the forums over the last year or so and although updating to the latest version (smf) didn't seem to fix things. Basically there a couple of problems, the server seems to slow down and the forum layout was made for an older version of smf.

To rectify these problems I am considering moving the site to a new server (hosting company) and try to design a new updated forum theme.

My question to you all, is it worth it, things have slowed down, people have left for various reasons so things are not as busy and intersting as they once were (makes the mods life easier). I don't mind putting in the effort if people are still going to use the site, but if it is going to die a slow death because of lack of interest I would rather not waste the time and money.

Although I don't post as much as I once did , I still come around every day, my main priority was to keep the site up and running.
My kids are older now and I am expected to spend time with them  :(, I am self employed, I have a dog, a few guitars and keyboards that want attention, and there is always fishing, oh and I have a wife. I don't have the free time I use to have, but I still make an effort to try to keep the place up and running although it might seem to be a losing battle a times.

I will hopefull be getting some help from Chris at Jedidefender and relocate  our site to the server they are hosted on.

Also if anyone is interested in being a mod or help trying to keep things interesting by posting on the main news page send me a pm.

Any suggestions or input is welcome

Customs / Re: Custom Gunship turrets
« on: November 13, 2008, 04:07:44 PM »
When I originally made them back in 2002 , the pictures ended up getting posted rebelscum and other sites  , I was bombarded with emails from around the world asking how they were made ( reason for the guide) and if I would make them to sell. It doesn't suprise me someone out there is selling them, there was definetly a market for them. One problem I had was finding clone pilots to use the the gunship mounts that came with them and my lack of free time.

Hasbro is on their 4th gunship now and still no deluxe clone turret pack  :speechless-smiley-004:

Basically you can probably put them together with loose parts and accessories you have around from other toy lines. I did mine one night after work, so it doesn't take long. One thing to remember is not to paint them to realistic or they will not match the toy gunship , unless you do a " dirty" custom gunship
