I've been playing it like crazy - despite all the bad press and complaining, it's a pretty fun game.  Starfighter Assault is my favorite mode by far.

A walmart.ca search for "star wars" used to yield around 400 results, lately it has been at around 900.  You can filter out the 3rd party sellers and leave just walmart in there, it looks like the 3rd partys are:

AreaTrend
Christmas Central
Golda's Kitchen
Happy Trends
Limolin Inc.
Stuff4
Unbeatablesale
USA Baby

With all of those filtered out the # of star wars hits goes down to a paltry 690 for walmart themselves.

Hey Darth Woo I definitely understand your hesitation on the force link starter. I snagged one for around $20 for my son and after seeing it in action I'd say it's worth about $10 if and only if you open your stuff. Biggest surprise was that 3.75" TIE Silencer actually has lights that are only activated if you have the force link. There are no batteries in the TIE Silencer, it gets its power from the force link when it gets close enough.
A neat trick, but honestly I'm of the opinion if you buy a toy for a kid,  you shouldn't have to buy something else to enable the built in features of the toy.

Thanks for the tip, my son's wanted the force link band since he has the tie silencer and a couple figures with the chip. Went to superstore, shelf tag said 29.94, scanned at 39.99, so with scanning code of practice it cost 19.94. I think that's a reasonable price for it.

Sale's over,  she's back up to $100.

Right on ambasah that will be great to have the kids seeing one of these on the big screen! My son was 5 when he got to see his first (Force Awakens). Their anticipation and excitement will feed off of yours,  it makes for alot of fun leading up to that day and fun in getting to finally see it together.
I can't say either of us was impressed with them killing off Han Solo that night but it did trigger some good discussion afterwards if that's any consolation.

I bought my tickets for it as well, at the Silver City St. VItal theatre in Winnipeg. The little extras they mentioned piqued my curiosity. I see AMC, Cinemark and other chains in the states are advertising a similar (maybe exactly the same? ) event. Perhaps more details will be revealed as we get closer to the release date.

For anyone that preordered Battlefront 2, the beta starts on Wednesday Oct. 4 and runs until Oct.9. I called my ebgames and they gave me a code since the codes weren't available a month ago when I did the preorder.

Hasbro, Mattel and other toy makers must be getting nervous right now. Walmart will have them right where they want them, over a barrel.
Hasbro's going to start trying some weird stuff in order to try and stay relevant.

If you buy anything Star Wars at the Disney Store today, make sure to get your set of mini posters. Haven't opened mine yet but it comes in a black envelope with a TLJ logo on it.

Limited to one per person.

Interesting about Quebec - I didn't know that. Sounds pretty civilized of you folks.
Honestly the best part of these things is the atmosphere leading up to midnight when you have a good lively group of us geeks and our geek kids. The right mix can make it pretty fun.

It's a win for the store too because tired / hyped people surrounded by other tired / hyped people will typically impulse buy more than well rested people who are on their own.
