I know I've been gone a long time. I saw a few photos of a new line of figures that are in the style of the Kenner vintage guys. Finally! But other than that they (probably) exist, assuming I wasn't being hoaxed, I now nothing else.
Haven't seen any new figures in ages. Probably a good thing I guess. Did Shae Viszla ever get to Canada? She's really the only one I want from the past couple of years.
Did I mention I got Sillof's steam wars bounty hunters? Yup, after that I don't know what I'd do to top my collection, so I mostly been back into comics.

Off Topic / 6 inch figure customizing
« on: June 12, 2012, 12:30:24 PM »
So I don't do much in the way of customizing, but a friend of mine has started getting into it- she jsut did a simple but very cool mod of a Spidey figure into a Scarlet Spider. For her next project, she wants to do Atom Eve from Invincible (one of my favorite comic series, I like it better than the Walking Dead, both written by Robert Kirkman). Anyways, 6 inch figures are not something I know a lot about, and finding a good figure to use as a base has proven challenging. I thought a Ms Marvel would work, if such a thing exists but it doesn't appear so. Anyone have advice for us?

Yeah, and what proofs of purchase are good? I haven't seen a new figure around these parts in a year already.

I could start a new topic but might as well save some space- did anyone roder clone wars season 3 from amazon? I did, and it was released tuewsday but hasn't shipped yet. Usually Amazon is totally on top of these things, and I remember both seasons 1 and 2 had some distribution in canada issues. ... anyone have any details?

I would get this set for the Darth Phobos figure- I know the guy who designed her (thru internet, not real life) and have a soft spot fior her for that reason at least. BUt it's all hypothetical as it has been about a year since I bought a figure at retail as I have not seen a single new one in that time that I can recall- ooh maybe the CW Mando set shortly before xmas.

It was the McFett that got me into this crazy hobby so I will be getting one of these, means I'll have to buy some figures sometime this year.

Kind of off-topic a little bit, but how do you guys keep track of your comics? I mean they are all in boxes but I tried finding a printable checklist or something online and had no luck.

Not sure if this is really the right thread, while I was at it I wanted to share another custom piece, non-StarWars but if any of you are fans of the Nickelodeon cartoon Avatar the Last Airbender (the cartoon, not the movie!!!) my friend Jasmine made me this amazing Appa sculpture:

Hey great thread! I'ma read all your alls! I had a StarWars figures blog but I don't update it too much- my regular blog is StarWars oriented often enough to be of interest, though not the main focus:
Flickr photostream: Lots of Star Wars photography and the odd comic convention stuff, cosplay and such:
