After about 2-3 weeks of constant practice(a few hours a day), I managed to beat it in one go without dying. That is the HARDEST SW GAME EVER!!! But I did quite enjoy it, and ended up beating it 2 more times afterwards. The NES ESB is far more difficult then the SNES ESB game. Never thought I would have to say that...I think the only other SW game that can infuriate me more would either be ANH on NES or Ep.1: Jedi Power Battles on PS1.

Polls / Re: Worst Thing To Happen To The Star Wars Universe

The remasters. Plain and simple. Don't fix something that isn't broken. Apparently Lucas doesn't understand that.

I was going to buy them the day they came out but a "disturbance in the force" made me look to see if there were anymore unwanted tweaks and additions and as we all probably know by now, there were... I braced myself for the worst and looked into what got screwed around with this time and as soon as I saw the new version of Vader killing the Emperor....that killed any chance of me wasting a penny on them. That was one of my favorite scenes in the whole trilogy. The fact that Vader just picks him up and hurls him of the railing silently is made it powerful because for a moment there you don't know if Vader is going to save Luke or not. But with that horrible post-production  "No..." added in there, it wrecks the suspense instantly. That has made me lose all hope for Lucas getting his act together and leaving things well enough alone. I could live with the other remaster versions, but this is overkill...

Wampa Cave / Re: Landspeeder Bed on Kijiji Calgary

I'm still short enough to fit in it. Would love to have it. I remember seeing a custom Millennium Falcon bed somewhere on-line and it was very well done.

Non-Star Wars Toys / Re: Jurassic Park toys
« on: March 06, 2012, 11:39:53 PM »
Jurassic Park is one of my top 10 favorite movies. I use to collect JP figures when the movies came out. (I was 11) Never got into the 3rd movie figures though. I still have all my old stuff, but they are really played with. I keep them all in a big tote and let my 4 yr old have his fun with them. I also have a few carded figures as well. Actually my electronic Raptor's batteries just died about a year ago. That toy is like 18 years old! I couldn't believe it. As a kid I always wanted the big electronic T-Rex from the 1st movie. But I never got it. Last fall I saw one on Kijiji, the seller was asking $80. I almost bought it, just to fullfill a dream. But these days my Star Wars collecting takes front seat to all other toys lines. Back in the day Kenner made some great toys. So trackcar, do you collect figures from all three movies? Do you open them, or keep them in their packaging?

I never got any of the original toys in stores but I got quite a few when The Lost World came out in 1997. I remember seeing it in theaters when I was 6 yrs old and to this day it was the most exciting movie I ever saw in theaters. I did inherit a pile of original toys from an acquaintance a couple of years later though. The JP3 toys on the other hand didn't do a lot for me. I liked them when they first came out but the dinosaurs I thought sucked. Still feel that way too. The figures didn't bother me though, although I was disappointed that the toys weren't the same scale as the first two movie's toy lines. Still like them but I don't love'em like the other ones. But all the toys were heavily played with and abused. They went through more then any SW toy ever endured. But I had a lot of fun as well. I ended up acquiring and replacing all the original JP series 1 toys, lots of JP series 2, almost all of The Lost World series 1 & 2 toys, and a decent amount of JP3 toys. I kept a lot of my original battle-ravaged toys for nostalgic value. They went through enough and they deserve to stay.

Non-Star Wars Toys / Re: The Hobbit (and LOTR) toys
« on: March 06, 2012, 11:30:18 PM »
Loved the LOTR figures growing up. They were some of the most beautifully sculpted figures I have seen next to the Macfarlane's  figures. The only problem I had with them is that you couldn't really play with them since a lot of the weapons (Legolas' knives in particular.) were rather fragile and very easy to lose. I debated about selling them but I didn't have the heart to part with them. Curious to see what the Hobbit figures look like...

Snowtrooper Collections / Re: Wedge1021's collection

Awesome collection!!! Love the little bar set-up. I need to post my collection up at some point...

I've got an extra Leia black gun. I ended up with it through deal I did and I originally thought it was a blue gun instead. The seller is pretty reliable so I don't think it was a reproduction. Anyone interested?

Vintage Kenner (1978-1985) / Re: Vintage Leia
« on: February 27, 2012, 04:52:13 AM »
I just completed my ANH vintage figure collection and by far the Leia figure was the biggest pain to find complete. I somehow ended with an extra "vintage" gun though. And it's not reproduction either.

Just noticed this old topic...I owned SSW and SESB, but never SROTJ.  I eat all 3, though.  I recently replayed them on my old SNES, and was reminded how hard they were, especially SESB.  My favorite part for sure was battling Darth Vader.

The end battle with Vader is hands-down my favorite boss fight in any SW game, and one of my favorite fights in SNES games period. Has anyone here managed to get through ESB on NES? ???
