Wampa Cave / What if Philip Glass scored Star Wars...
« on: October 28, 2008, 12:50:40 AM »
I am watching the original "Dracula" with Bela Lugosi, with the score redone by Philip Glass.
It is phenominal to watch- one of my fav films, but even moreso after being touched by Glass.  One of my favorite composers.  Everything he does just adds so much depth to a film.

Got me thinking.
What would Star Wars be like if Phillip Glass scored it?   I know it is very random,  and sounds like it would be a disaster of a combination but curious to see what he could do with it....his music is capable of transforming films.  His work is just mind blasting.

Wampa Cave / Star Wars Holiday Special ......oh, it's "special" alright..
« on: October 08, 2008, 01:16:36 AM »
I just watched it.  I don't know why.
And I sat through it all.   I had to.  I'm a fan ....right?

Christ there were so many moments in that abomination of a show that I genuinely felt uncomfortable or creeped out watching.  Never mind "or".  Who am I kidding.  A little from column A and a little from column B simultaneously.

I heard others speak of how bad it was.
I had to watch it for myself to belive it.

I wish I hadn't.

Wampa Cave / Attakus statues- any updates?
« on: August 18, 2008, 03:22:09 PM »
Anyone have any idea on the current status with Attakus and the new series?
There has not been much talk about them recently and wondered if any Attakus collectors here have heard anything in a while?
Was looking forward to the Cody statue!!

On a side note,
I have a buddy who has a few Attakus statues for sale for very reasonable prices: 150-300 and wanted me to post here if there is any interest...they go quick!  I have dealt with him before and is a nice guy.  I will put this in the trade thread as well.
