The High End: Replicas & Statues / Re: Anovos - Star Wars Costumes

I'll def let you know what the quality is like, as well I'll post some photos and a small review.

Jerry's knocking them out of the park, the sculpt and paint apps are tops.
I used to love Guile too, I used him, Blanka or Sagat when I was young. I'm sticking to Sagat, Ryu, Ken and Akuma, 1/3 or 1/4 I'm snagging them.

I gave up my Limited Vader, bought a Legend and then once my Limited was gone the Legend deal fell through. Basically after 3 weeks he still hadn't shipped it, wrote him and it would take 2-3 days before he replied and it was always with I'll ship it on Friday. So at this point I'm down to my Clone Captain, Shocktrooper, and Stormie. The Legend Biker will be with me soon enough and I'll keep looking for a Legend Vader, waiting on the Legend Fett before I pick it up. Never liked the pinch on the MR Fett.

Back to SF though haha, have you seen the updated Akuma 1/3 pics? Looking killer.

Yeah, still thinking about Vader too.

I ordered direct, it states their lowest shipping is ground and free so I'm fine with that. I'm hoping they create a Royal Guard, I'd be down with the entire costume.

The High End: Replicas & Statues / Anovos - Star Wars Costumes

Did anyone else bite with Anovos? I picked up the Tie Fighter "Vader's Wingman" helmet yesterday and am actually quite interested to see what the quality is like. I was going to get the Vader helmet as well but am happy with the eFX version. Maybe someday I'll join 501st but for now lovin the display of helmets :)

Resistance is futile haha.
I'll be snagging them, sticking to Akuma, Sagat (my favorite), Ryu, Ken and gotta get Chun Li for the kidlet. I'll be getting the 1/4 scale too, if you don't snag them pre-order day you never get the exclusive versions which is a shame because flippers charge obscene amounts. Shin Akuma sells for 4-8K these days, ridiculous if you ask me.
I've almost completely stopped with Star Wars, I'm staying with the 1:1 helmets; love the helmets and can't wait for more OT and ST to start rolling out.

All I have is Sagat Exclusive and have Ryu Ansatsuken on pre-order. Jerry is great with the discounts and the pricing on the 1/4 scale is great.
I was going to snag Dhalsim but I think I'll stick to Sagat, Ryu, Ken and Akuma; both of which are going to be revisited in 2014.
As for the 1/3 Akuma that Jerry is working on right now, I may pick it up but still unsure. I don't want to miss out and then PCS will come out with Sagat, Ryu and Ken in 1/3. Always want to keep up to stop from paying the flippers premium prices.

31" Han Solo in Stormie armor at Wal-Mart.
Black Series Jabba, Biker Scout/Speeder Bike plus 31" Inquisitor at ToysRus.
Basically everywhere I go I'm seeing new things.

I've watched the teaser a dozen times now, so excited for this. The lightsaber has grown on me, close ups show it as discharges; as if the lightsabers unstable or something.
The new Stormies rock, I want a helmet right meow. Tie's, Falcon, woot woot need I say more? Sith Lord, loving it. Ball droid...meh I can live with it as long as it's not Jar Jar of the ST.

Not a fan of the lightsaber, possibly functional against amputation but still aesthetically I think it looks horrible and could have been done a little better.

It's a fake, it's pieced together well with clips from fan made SW movies, photo's edited with back grounds, etc...
Wait till Friday, I'm hoping we'll be blown away. If that was actually a real trailer, I'm already disappointed.

Wampa Cave / Re: A spin-off movie for Mace Windu?
« on: November 22, 2014, 05:47:04 PM »
Although I'd still want to watch it, definitely wouldn't be my choice for a stand alone. His character in the PT just held no interest for me, I think you're correct and it was prob more so due to direction and script. A young Mace would be good, perhaps as a rising Jedi Knight?
There's several characters that stand alone films would be great for, obviously Fett, Solo and Obi, possibly Yoda. As for Vader it's not really required, his story was told from the PT to the OT, along with the Emperor. Luke's story is OT and ST, so he's done as well.
Characters with earlier lives that need telling, Fett, Solo and Yoda fit the bill. Obi's story would have to occur between ROTS and a ANH but it's something I would love to see.

Exactly, it's called mutual respect and proper etiquette, I think both are lost on the other forums. Gotta love Canadians :)

I gave up on the show 3 episodes in, bad characters, bad stories, bad animation, all around nothing appealing for me. I think it's made for kids more so than adults, which is funny because the Clone Wars was entertaining for all ages. Missing my Clone Wars...haha
I'll generally watch anything SW but in this case, yeah no thanks.
