Wampa Cave / Re: Unfreezing Frozen/Seized Joints
« on: December 19, 2010, 11:11:34 PM »
Hey "Slizer 26",

I had the same problem w/ my ARF Trooper Boil.  His left wrist wouldn't move no matter what I tried (boiling, freezing, etc.).  I was worried that too much pressure would break the skinny wrist joint.   :confused0024:

The problem is w/ the yellow paint app.  It seems to get into the cracks between where the hand & the wrist should move.

My solution was to take a very thin bladed "exacto" knife & run it along these lines, VERY CAREFULLY!!!  Eventually, enough of the paint which froze the joint let loose, allowing it to move.

If you try this, PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION, however, because the joint is so flimsy it may just break...

Good luck!  :)`

Bob

Scout Report / Re: Post Retail Finds of NEW PRODUCT Here!
« on: August 29, 2009, 05:55:10 PM »
As first reported at AFN http://www.actionfigurenews.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=2595 Zellers has the (Target) exclusive CW Battle Packs -  Ambush at Abregado and Assault on Ryloth in US packaging. Not mentioned was the price - 39.99 each. Ambush indeed - one figure less and $10 more. I hope the price was a mistake at the Zellers I saw them at or a sale is coming soon.

Unfortunately, 39.99 is the marked price for these.  Saw them today in W. Alberta...  :tongue0024:

Hey SaMmiLoVer, none of these cases have made it out west to Alberta.

I'm curious about the packaging.   Next time you're by that particular store, would mind checking if the packaging is American (English only) or Canadian (Multi-language)?

Thanks for your help!   :-*

Picked mine up Sat. evening in Edmonton.   Saw 2 of 2 at a Coles Bookstore  &   1 of 2 at a Wal-Mart.

Both were poly-bagged & included the Star Wars Galaxies Trial Disc.

The cardbacks actually look less cluttered w/out the photo backs. (And I'm addicted to ALL of the Canadian packaging!!!)
