Scout Report / Disturbance at the Lars Homestead
« on: September 10, 2008, 12:21:19 PM »
Found this on the Canadian TRU website.  Coming soon. $40!!! listed as $50US on the US TRU website.  SKN is the # you need to give to your local store to see if they have them in.

Scout Report / Family Guy Blue Harvest Poster
« on: April 18, 2008, 12:21:21 AM »
Not sure if anyone is into posters as much as I am, but Movie Poster Warehouse in Toronto has the big 40" X 60" Family Guy Blue Harvest poster available for just $21 (plus tax and shipping).  I would normally drive down to pick it up, but the rising price of gas made me go with shipping it for what are reasonable rates ($7 for express post in the GTA)

Thought I'd pass it along

« on: March 03, 2008, 09:21:05 PM »
Saw some new Halo 3 figs at my local walmart.  $13.9?.   Master Chief, Red Spartan, Grunt, and a bunch of others.  Made by McFarlane and smaller than the Halo 2 figs by almost half.

« on: December 19, 2007, 03:16:56 PM »
just got my decals on my Jeep.  one on the hood and another smaller one on the rear drivers side window.

Going to get seat covers with the mandalorian symbol stiched at the top of each and might get a tire cover with it on also.

Non-Star Wars Toys / Spiderman 3 evolution set
« on: October 29, 2007, 09:16:42 AM »
saw this yesterday at Walmart Markville (southern ontario).  comes with reg spiderman, symbiote spiderman w/battle damage look (material is ripped in various places) and venom.  The packaging is the exact same as the evolution sets from a couple of years ago.  The "accessories" under the flap is a flexible rubber Peter Parker that fits over either the reg or symbiote spidey.

Walmart exclusive $22.97 (I think).  Did see them at the Newmarket Walmart this am, but they were all up on an overstock shelf.

Wampa Cave / No More Canadian Card?
« on: July 16, 2007, 08:33:49 AM »
I heard a rumor from someone that buys lots of SW stuff from Legends and the Snail that after wave 3 there won't be anymore TAC on Canadian Card.  We would get the rest of the series on US card.

Can anyone or any of the sponsors confirm this as true or false?

That would be good and bad.  While I like the US card, knowing the production run on the Canadian Card is far less makes them more appealing to me as a carded collector.

Non-Star Wars Toys / Tranformers The Movie Figs
« on: April 30, 2007, 10:04:46 AM »
Saw a whack of preview figs in the states on the weekend.  The only ones out are the Starscream and Optimus Prime Protoform figs.  I think they have a street date of May 1st, so look for them at TRU tomorrow.

Non-Star Wars Toys / Spiderman 3
« on: March 21, 2007, 07:46:43 AM »
Full set up of SM3 toys at my local TRU.  Tons of figs.  smaller than the origins line, but nicely details and articulated.  Also a new line of regular villians, rhino, croc, and a guy who's name escapes me, but he's a poacher apparently.

Also had a new line of the Spiderman Heroes (a la Galactic Heroes)  some huge walkie talkies in the shape of the characters.  The best part was one of them was called "Harry Goblin"  Wonder if someone got fired for that one.

Previous Hasbro 3.75" Star Wars Lines (1995-2015) / TAC Wave 1 (merged)

posted details in the ontario forum for anyone interested ;)

Non-Star Wars Toys / spawn 30
« on: December 28, 2006, 10:47:47 PM »
Saw the new spawn series at my local TRU.  They have a cartoonish look to them (similar style as the clone wars cartoon figs) and different style packaging also.  interchangable heads and far more articulation to them also.  They are actually called action figures on the package now.  not priced

Non-Star Wars Toys / marvel galactic heroes
« on: December 28, 2006, 10:45:47 PM »
can't remember the official name of this line, but it's the marvel version of the sw galactic heroes.  Saw them at my local TRU.  4 two pack on the pegs, not priced but would imagine they are the same as the sw ones.

Off Topic / Pics with Santa
« on: November 28, 2006, 11:34:36 AM »
Thought I'd start a thread for those of us who want to share our kids pics with Santa, or those who still think they are kids and got thier pic with Santa.

My kids, the youngest asked for a Diego toy and a Darth Vader toy.
