WM had them priced differently too, $9.92 rather than their price for Saga basic figs of $8.43.
Of the big 3 only Zellers had the same price for them, $9.99 same as basic figs.

This is the future unfortunately; re-release the best sellers at an inflated price. Retailers love it, Hasbro loves it. Only the customer gets gouged  :mad0177:

Am I missing something here? Why would anyone want to see OTC Lobot RE-released when they're still sitting at TRU years after their release and were warming the pegs at London Drugs last year with a $2 price?!
This is how we end up with 1000 Naboo soldiers, Madines, LOBOTS, etc.
Why vote for figures that can still be found at retail?!
Vote for stuff that's hard to get! What am I missing?

There definitely should be a place here for both the "inspirational" AND complaint threads. I just hope the complaints are also being sent directly to HasCan where they might do some good.
I don't think we should dissuade ppl from complaining here though and I know, Sinister, that's not what you were doing. Good post.
I agree that there seems to be a rash of negative posts lately but that's because there's plenty to be miffed about as a collector, and those complaints should definitely be vocalized.

I also agree that HasCan has done terribly this year. I'm actually almost glad that since they postponed the Unleashed video game figures, there are only about 2 figures left in the TAC that I want that I haven't got already. Not many left I care about but less to stress about trying to get.

Off Topic / Re: Importing Cars from the US
« on: August 05, 2007, 09:48:15 PM »
Well it's different for new cars than for second hand deals with private owners.

I used to work for Toyota and answered many calls about this for them.

If you want to import a new car from the U.S. from a dealer of any kind, there is major tarriffs at the border, to protect CDN dealerships. In the many experiences I had with people's experience with this, the vast majority of people saved no qualifiable amount of money. If any, the saving was negligible and sometimes they paid more.
They don't want people doing this and the tariffs make it senselessin most cases to try, if saving money is the goal.  People even had to pay Tariffs on vehicles that aren't available here, because to the government it's taking away a new auto sale from a CDN dealer.

As to your question, I really don't know about a transaction of a second hand vehicle.
I know it's different from the rules that apply to "brand new" cars though.

I assume you were talking about a used car? I can point you to more info if in fact you want to import a new car.....

We got some Heroes and Villains or Greatest Battles or something last year.... not sure which wave it was, but we did get them.

on canadian card? cause i have never seen them in canada besides specialty shops.

We got H&V on CDN and GB on U.S. at Walmart and TRU at least, but in very small numbers (2 cases per store total is the most I ever saw). I remember well cuz I mailed some of the CDN h&v to Australia for a Trooper and I was standing in the aisle when they opened the U.S. GB @ WM one day.

just like they did with the mando's. have to order the two sets to get all six of the mandalorians :fett:

Yep.  :shakehead:

Those Comic pack ARC's rule. I have one loose.
I'm not sure these are them exactly but you're right the pauldron looks the same but the kma appears a bit different , could just be the angle and colour throwing me off, and even if it's the same it could be kit bashed anyway.
But if they have the comic articulation, that just might sway me to get that pack at least. If they don't, and for the reason above, I know I'll pass. I'd like to get a 7 mando pack as advertised but I won't be buying 14 figs to get the six mandos. i'll buy the one pack that has the ARCs if they're indeed like the comic ones and if it weren't for those this whole thing would be very very sad to me.

Glen Beck is a complete tool, by the way  :tongue0024:
Not "a thinker", just another feeler.

Those are those old ARCs?  Oh well then they're total crap. I was just commenting on the paint scheme, I didn't know they were those crappy old ARC's sculpt.  :sad0064:

OH ya, I do remember something about all the figs having 14 artic points.
IF the RC's get knee and ankle articulation, I will be much more excited!
If they remain just Scorch repaints,  meh...

The Dems are like the Leafs. Regardless of how promising it looks for them on paper, they'll find a way to lose. It's certifiably retarded that these two are "the front-runners".
Still, I suspect they might come to their senses and get someone more electable into the running soon.

This is a bit disappointing actually. The FOUR black RC's are a total cop-out  for an alleged "Mandolorian" pack :shakehead:

I love the tan guy and the grey dude BUT is that the best they could get their helmets on?! Looks pretty stupid with the helmet barely on like that.

The ARC-esque guys are pretty cool. The red and green dudes are pretty sweet too, I'm just getting really tired of the filler fodder like the black RC's and the Mando insignia #41's.  :indifferent0020:

Thx for the reply and all the great info. I've dabbled a bit with digital painting and have always wanted to delve into it further. Too many hobbies already though. Maybe someday I'll have more spare time.

Keep up the good work  :)`

Pathetic Craigslist Troller (to me in response to an ad posted weeks ago):

I have obtianed the extremly rare mc farlane figure of roberto
luongo in his vintage jersey. box is sealed and in mint condition.
If you still wish to purchase this I will let it go for $75.00.

Me: HA! I bet you would! I'd let the one I found go for $75 too, but what I wouldn't do is go pimping it online like a greasy scalper or pay 5 times retail for a plastic toy. That's crazy.
Meagan is a dirty scalper.
