« on: May 19, 2006, 08:57:27 AM »
Just a heads up that the next Sideshow Exclusive premium figure is up for sale on their website - Dagobah Luke and Yoda! and the Exclusive is Luke's head in Vader's helmet!

The $$ is kind of steep ($350) but I couldn't resist!

Hi everyone,

Any idea on the value of these? I managed to pick up an unopened "Paploo".

I'm not sure if it's a typo but on the back it says there are 62 coins to collect, but they actually have 92 figures listed...

The High End: Replicas & Statues / American vs Canadian pricing
« on: March 17, 2006, 08:35:05 AM »
I'm really interested in SW statues from GG,Sideshow,Attakus,Koto etc and have been comparing US vs Canadian sites. I am amazed at how much cheaper things seem to be in the States. I guess our strong dollar is making a big difference. But, I'm not sure how much of an impact brokerage fees may have.

Do most of you guys buy your stuff from a US site, Canadian, or directly from the manufacturer?

Hi all,

I really have the collecting bug since joining this site. I managed to pick up 8 koto figures from one collector recently and have now purchased 3 attakus statues for $650 US.

They are Chewie, Han, and Han in carbonite. This seem like a pretty good deal compared to other prices I've seen, but wanted to get people's thoughts...

Wampa Cave / Is this a good deal?
« on: February 16, 2006, 05:39:07 PM »
3 Koto figures (Han, Scout Trooper, Clone Trooper from Episode 2) and Sideshow Luke statue (Tatooine - 1/4 scale limited to 2500) for $460 Canadian plus tax.

All are brand new. Does this see like a good deal?

Hi again everyone.

ok - I want to begin collecting the "larger scale" figures. I want to stick with one company. Who would you pick if you were in my shoes?

Snowtrooper Recruitment / hello from a new addict
« on: February 07, 2006, 07:22:23 PM »
hello all,

I stumbled on this site while doing a search for fx sabers. I am a 30-something, like most, who fell in love with Star Wars as a kid. I had a huge collection back then, spending every penny of my allowance on star wars toys and comic books. My family and friends were good enough to get me star wars stuff for all birthdays and x-mas.

Tragically, when in highschool, the entire lot was put into the trash when my folks decided to renovate the basement. I still bug them about it to this day :(

Anyhow, I am fortunate enough to be in a position to start collecting again. To date I only have the various fx sabers, the transformers and the recent Saga stuff.

I am really interested in the vinyl statues from Kotobukiya. Any thoughts on them?
