I'm a new member as well. Collecting is fun, but it's already killing my pocket book!

I understand there will be 2 versions of each figure. Anyone know whether Canada will get both?

Welcome from another newbie.

perfect timing.

I just came back from Niagara Falls and did some shopping at the Military Road outlet. I popped by Target, and they had the next set of Transformers. I was able to pick up Anakin and Darth Maul (no Fett's).

I also went to Walmart. They have the complete Hoth set (only $5.88/each US !!)  and a Titanium "vehicle set" which includes the "special" Milenium Falcon.

Just a heads up for anyone going to Niagara Falls in the near future...

Wampa Cave / Is this a good deal?

3 Koto figures (Han, Scout Trooper, Clone Trooper from Episode 2) and Sideshow Luke statue (Tatooine - 1/4 scale limited to 2500) for $460 Canadian plus tax.

All are brand new. Does this see like a good deal?

any thoughts on this upcoming figure? I am pretty new to all this and never knew there was such a demand! I mean, "2 hours for priority pre-orders"...etc.

thanks everyone for the suggestions. I guess I'm looking for the line that is more "collectible". What I mean is that I'd like to go with the "rarest" of the bunch. In terms of $$ I was looking to spend no more than $250 (Canadian) per figure.  Is that a reasonable amount?

Also, I'm not interested in going after items already sold out etc. What I'd like to do is start fresh with whatever is coming up.

Anyhow thanks for listening to my babbling.

Hi again everyone.

ok - I want to begin collecting the "larger scale" figures. I want to stick with one company. Who would you pick if you were in my shoes?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. I look forward to becoming a regular member of this board.

Johnny B - I live downtown in "Little Italy". I met pcdawg about 3-4 years ago. We had the same car (e46 cab).

I'm really into car modifying as well. Any other car enthusiasts here?

Snowtrooper Recruitment / hello from a new addict

hello all,

I stumbled on this site while doing a search for fx sabers. I am a 30-something, like most, who fell in love with Star Wars as a kid. I had a huge collection back then, spending every penny of my allowance on star wars toys and comic books. My family and friends were good enough to get me star wars stuff for all birthdays and x-mas.

Tragically, when in highschool, the entire lot was put into the trash when my folks decided to renovate the basement. I still bug them about it to this day :(

Anyhow, I am fortunate enough to be in a position to start collecting again. To date I only have the various fx sabers, the transformers and the recent Saga stuff.

I am really interested in the vinyl statues from Kotobukiya. Any thoughts on them?
