The only place I've seen it is Toys R Us for $250.

I was kind of hoping it'd have the same fate as the 6" TIE and end up 75% off. But, I'm thinking they didn't order many and not many stores seemed to have ordered any AT-ATCs at all. The TIE was everywhere and in massive quantities. I'm thinking we might see the AT-ATC hit 50% off, but I was hoping that would be _now_. Even at 50% off, that'd still be $125 which isn't much less than Target here.

Yeah, trying to convince myself ;-)

Ugh.... I have the AT-ACT in my cart. Sooo tempted. It's still nearly $200... not sure if I can justify it.

What price do you consider regular retail?

Scout Report / Re: Good action figure store in Ottawa ?

> You might want to try The Silver Snail

Yeah, Silver Snail closed, like, last year. It wasn't any good for action figure anyway.

The Comic Book Shoppe is good. There are two locations, one downtown and one a bit south/west. That location, on Clyde, has a better selection of toys.

Word of warning, though, DarthSlaad ... it's ComicCon this weekend, so the Comic Book Shoppe's stock will be significantly reduced because they set up a big booth at the Con.

There's also Toys on Fire (https://www.toysonfire.ca/page/website.contactus) out in Barrhaven. I haven't been in years because it's too damn far to get to, but it was pretty cool when I was there last.
Oh, and same deal as CBS, they have a booth at ComicCon usually, so their stock might be down.

Heck, you should just go to ComicCon. Better shopping there than anywhere else  :)

Wampa Cave / Re: What are kids collecting today?

I think my family represents a bit of a strange demographic. See, I gave my son (7yo) & daughter (11yo) about 90% of my Star Wars toy collection when they showed interest. So, both my daughter and son play with Star Wars action figures a whole lot, but I'm trying to think of which toys the specifically _asked_ for.

Both my kids ask for Pokemon stuff all the time. My daughter asks for Barbie stuff (but she's playing with toys a lot less now that she's older). Both kids ask for Lego. My son used to collect all the Paw Patrol guys and the Transformers Rescue Bots. My daughter's asked for a few Star Wars "dolls" (12") a couple of times and my son has a big list of Star Wars action figures he wants. ex. He really wants to get an Admiral Raddus figure.

But, if I just look at my son, who's still in prime-time toy-playing age, I'd say he collects Pokemon, Lego and Star Wars action figures. He divides his time evenly between Star Wars, Lego and dress-up play. He doesn't play too many video games. Maybe a couple of hours per week, tops.

I can't say whether he'd have chosen Star Wars toys on his own, but he loves the ones he's got :)

Also, this is cool. Thanks for starting this.
Already TIL that Giant Tiger has a website & sells toys.

I've ordered from Cosmic Toys twice and found good prices and good service both times.

I can't really comment on selection, but I really like https://cosmictoys.ca/

I've bought lots of stuff them them and it's fairly priced, reasonable shipping and in Canada.

Rogue One (2016-2017) / Re: Rogue One figure wants
« on: December 17, 2016, 10:57:07 AM »
This movies is packed with toyetic characters. There are so many kinds of troopers and aliens in the background. All the different Rebel soldiers. I'm afraid that what we've got is all we'll ever get seeing as Episode VIII was originally scheduled for May. As in, Hasbro may have planned for the Rogue One line to end swiftly so they could get merchandise out for 8. Hopefully I'm wrong, because I've got plenty of money I want to spend on Rogue One toys!

Scout Report / Re: Disney Store

Awesome. I'm jealous. I've always wanted to visit Disney during the Christmas season.

I picked up the Starspeeder back when I lived in Seattle. It's actually a great toy. My kids love it.

Wampa Cave / Rogue One - What did you think? (Possible spoilers)
« on: December 15, 2016, 11:38:56 PM »
I thought it was pretty good. Enjoyed it a lot. I think I'll like it better on second viewing, now that I know the characters.
The last 30 minutes were amazing. Overall, I'd say it was the best structured of all the Star Wars movies. It might not be my favourite, but it ranks near the top.

I also found the second set of Black Series 6" figures at TRU in Ontario today.
They had the exclusive tank driver or whatever it is too.
