Interested to see where we're at as a group. If you like, add your number of theatre viewings to a reply & comment as to whether or not you're done, or have one or more trips left to make. 3 viewings for me so far and I'd like to go at least once more.

Checking to see if anyone is on. My son is looking for help with a raid quest "Sealing the Blade" which requires killing 2 bosses within 30 seconds of each other. We don't have any friends playing that have achieved the level/light level required - I was wondering if anyone is hard core & has done this or wants to be involved in the effort for their own benefit.

Very good pickup, well under $20 including taxes. Lots of pictures & there seems to be a good bit of extra info as well - even on a flyer, for the price of one figure this is worth your money!

by Greg Rucka, of Marvel Comics (and other projects I'm sure) fame. This small book features stories about our new 3 favourites (Poe, Finn & Rey) leading up to the events of the movie. I'll give it a quick read & posts my thoughts - only 215 page.

From my family to yours, all the best for tomorrow and may you all have a happy & healthy 2016!

Never before have we been so blessed (by whichever God/Gods/Maker/Makers/Lack Thereof you choose to worship or not) to have a new SW movie in the theatres this time of year - I like the fact that our community has really connected over it at Christmastime, regardless of where your thoughts are on the movie itself. The discussion & opinions make it that much more fun!

I hope you all get some time away from work & with your loved ones & please all travel safely if you're on the roads.

Enjoy!!!!  :)` :)` :)` :)` :)` :u: :u: :u: :u: :u:

Anyone else??? This is the first time in the history of Star Wars that the novelization of the movie hasn't appeared prior to the release of the film. From what I read, Disney made a deal with Del Rey that the book wouldn't be released until after the new year to prevent any story leakage. It has been penned by classic Star Wars & Sci Fi author Alan Dean Foster (who wrote the novelization of A New Hope and then created Splinter of the Minds Eye as a follow-up story).

The big draw for me in reading the books has ALWAYS been the extra information they provide about the characters, settings, items, species, etc - I'm really hoping this one will follow along in that tradition. My brain is BURNING to have any further information about what happened in the 30 years between ROTJ & TFA!

The Toys - Snowtrooper Reviews! / WalMart 3.75" Black Series SA Kylo Ren

First off, the figure is extremely solid & heavy when you free him from the packaging. Overall perception of value right off the bat? High.

The soft goods are used nicely on the bottom kilt/skirt portions, but there is also plastic underneath which kinda makes the legs difficult to post. No action stances for this SA Kylo, unless you're willing to impart more force on him than I am, at least to get started. I'm not usually a fan of mixed medium cloakage - give me cloth or give me plastic - but this mix works about as well as you could ask for - it looks pretty uniform to be honest.

The accessories are a little odd - the saber hilt is lead coloured paint over clear red plastic - and the red shows through on mine quite a bit. I don't care much about this, but it's an odd choice to use the red here. The larger saber has the same issue, but not to the same extent on mine. The blade is thin & somewhat rigid - I would assume this will break easily. Be careful.

All in all, I'm happy. I wasn't going to buy any TFA figures but my will broke - and I'm glad it did in this case.

Video Games / Battlefront, Anyone???
« on: November 22, 2015, 11:39:41 AM »
jjreason on PS4. The game is shockingly beautiful, but if you're not here to play online multiplayer, you're not going to get much out of it. I was hoping for more 1 player "campaign" type missions, like the old Battlefront games offered for PS2, but those are basically just an intro to game mechanics on the PS4 version. Maybe they'll add it as time goes by, but maybe it's simply meant to be a player vs player fest. Sadly, my deck connects to the internet via wireless and I haven't been able to test out those aspects yet (keeps disconnecting from servers).

Anyone? I'm not going near this one until I hear something positive.

In case you're looking for topics regarding the Vintage Collection, Clone Wars (animated) or Saga Legends/Missions Series - they can now be found under "Previous Hasbro 3.75" Lines".

Nothing serious - but we have 7 pages in announcements/contests & toy shows that are largely past their prime. I'm going to do it on a topic by topic basis - if it actually contains a discussion it will be kept, however announcements regarding "upcoming" toy shows that occurred in 2012 will be fair game!  :kar:

Guys, my apologies for not being able to solve this sooner. I have recorded the phone number for Koda provided to me and with any luck I'll be able to help resolve an outage more quickly next time (well with any REAL luck there won't BE a next time....).

Thanks for your patience, back to your regularly scheduled store reports & griping about the lack of proper Tauntauns available at Canadian retail.....

Anyone else? I'm just playing with it for the first time now & it seems - seems so far - to have freed up our old laptop a little bit. Slightly less lag on the internet anyhow which is good.

A slight continuation of one previously seen "scene of interest" (or maybe just a clever edit to make you think it's a continuation). Either way, I like it!
