I would meet you nerds there. I'm off for the next 2 weeks, let's go!

Well I guess it was interesting. A lot of people came through, but I think many were surprised there were actually toys for sale, as opposed to just an exhibition of older vintage toys.

The arcade appeared very popular on the main level. I would suggest there were close to 100 vendors there - everyone close to me was super friendly & helpful, they had mostly been through it many times before.

I would call my sales a bit disappointing in terms of how much "stuff" I had lug home, but some things that sold did surprise me for sure. Old metallic cards based on the Dark Empire comic series? One of the first items gone! POTF2 Jabba? Gone quickly as well!  :rollfloorlaffsmiley:

I would consider trying something like it again, provided the same FREE cost was in place. I can't imagine I could ever sell enough to cover the cost of  $40-50 table and any gas I'd need to purchase to get to a show any further away from home than this one.

I'm not sure what the chances are of them keeping that release date. They'll be getting a nice stream of revenue from the bluray release of Last Jedi around that time... wouldn't it make more sense for them to push it until Christmas & keep riding that annual windfall?

Try another item, there are a few expensive books of old comics I'd like to see drop below $100!!!

I'm thinking brother & sister more & more with each viewing - and I think they'll re-use the grotto scene where her parents were blacked out to show Han & Leia. She'll confront him about it & he'll admit he lied. I think it's the necessary & expected way out & it will sooth some of the irate fans. It, however, will make me sad if they go that route.

I'm now at 4 viewings & although the movie is passable, the only "need to see" moments for me involve Luke & Rey. The rest is filler, although some of it is lovely filler.

I won't include Rogue One as I can't really figure out where it fits on the list. Good movie but way too serious.

That's crazy. I wonder if it automatically goes down until the number of orders meets a target for a date deadline or how that works. They can't be making money of the set at under $90 per, and it re-enforces that Hasbro can't make any money of playsets. I think that's wrong - I just think they need to be a lot better than this thing.

I did really enjoy the GI Joe cartoon & also the comics - I guess it all played a role - but for me personally it was the comparison between the toys. Maybe not the same for others.

What they didn't really mention was the rise of Joes actually being responsible in part for the downfall of the SW line. As soon as I had wave 2 Joes in my hands with the swivel arm articulation - any interest I had in finishing off the last couple of waves of SW figures was long, long, long gone. You couldn't compare the two products in any other category beside height.

In other news, this show is up for "worst theme song" in tv history.  :speechless-smiley-004:

I watched SW, GI Joe & He-Man - haven't checked out the Barbie episode as of yet. I believe "The Mike" was interviewed for an upcoming episode so we will eagerly anticipate that!

Dammit I need those at that price. Hopefully my store has both.

And they did. I'm very grateful for this store report, Canadian Tire is a place I go with some frequency but I never check the toys! Thank you again!!!  :love0030:
