They had lots of Sportspicks today. New NHL 6 (Lemieux, Selanne - all Avs, Anson Carter, Lecavalier, NO Lidstroms, Stevie w cup or Patrick Roy 2's).

I did find the Steview, Nick and variant Lecavalier at Wally though. Didn't buy any. No NFL 7. Looking for anything else?

No gold stripe SW, 3 deluxe clones with bikes, 1 hoth set left (Luke Tauntaun) and lots of LOTR for 9.99 per basic figure.

This is killing me........ I've been searching for that alt.binaries news group and the mpgs....... nothing. My stupid PC won't play the streaming ones and I'm getting really ugly about the whole thing. Im going to try and go to a friend's place for the marathon performance of the first 10 episodes on Friday.

I'll have to go, there were a few LOTR figures I was pondering over the last few times I've been in. 9.99 is a lot more persuasive that the usual price.

The problem I have is with choppy playback. I think I need smaller files (more compression) to view them more smoothly. Im running the most recent Quicktime player on windows 98.  Has anyone else experienced this? Any remedy suggestions?

Yes, my PC is a dinosaur in case you were wondering.    :D

Man what a price! I'm just glad that the guy who hijacked that shipment of shuttles to FAO from the factory was Canadian!  ;D 8)

Im old too, vintage Luke (Tatooine) in 1978. Hadn't even seen the movie yet, but the toy ads were too much for me.  :D It's been downhill ever since. Looking back, I think my dad was nearly as in to collecting as my brother and I were. There was more times than I can count when figures that we hadn't exactly been clamouring for showed up. "Wow, Imperial Officer. We didn't ask for that one." Rings a bell. Makes me happy now, though!

I tried to download a viewing of the cartoon there, I was some kind of pissed when I got the blurb "This content available ONLY to viewers in the United States."

Darron, I have the set complete with opened box. It's pretty cool but I have no real affinity for it. Let me know what you think would be a fair price or trade, and I can hook you up.

220 for the shuttle, shipped up from the US.

Kitchener, when 31 years old you reach, more money will you have (with any luck).

The whole thing's been a bit of a pisser..... I bought the ship from a friend complete with a well-worn box (what I was really after). I had planned to just leave it all in there, but I don't have a new Falcon and quickly got the ship out on display. I need a few pieces that the friend is still looking for (radar dish, top quad-laser, ramp struts, etc, etc) but the plastic I have is all intact. The stickers were very dry, and every time I move her, some more fall off. What I'd like to do is figure out a way to clean the whole thing (like actually wash it, the guy who sold it to me was a smoker), get all the stickers off, and start with a new sheet from scratch. Somehow there's a way, and if/when I get it done I'll post how in here.

I love mine too. The paint job and smoked cockpit window make it (imo) much better looking than the vintage version - but it still has a VERY vintage feel to it (stuff doesn't fit exactly right, wing function lopsided, etc). Still worth the money though, and that's saying something. I was a huge naysayer of this ship and the scheme via which it was marketed right from day one, but I finally did cave and got one from Kebco. As soon as I opened the box I knew I'd done the right thing.

Hey all, just my post in here to say hi. I live in Vancouver Island in Nanaimo, and was a member at the old forums. Im always happy to help with trades, and will be posting in here when I get my next shipment from the US, which will contain a few extra newer figures that I won't need for my collection. The new forums work great.

Still none in Nanaimo as of 2 or 3 days ago, but then we were quite behind Victoria in just getting the Han Hoth and Mynock Chewie assortment. With any luck they'll show soon. Have the ROJ Luke's been coming in wrong or corrected? Anyone?

I would have gone with part of a restraining bolt from R2, but that's only on spec.......  :D
