Non-Star Wars Toys / Re:Series 2 Matrix
« on: December 04, 2003, 02:20:05 AM »
I saw a raft of Series 2 here at Superstore. Didn't look like any of the figures were shortpacked, I saw at least 2 of each. Much better than the first go round, where I stood and watch them open the two cases at TRU - not one Twin in either box. Stupid - so stupid in fact it's my entire reason for not collecting this line.

What did you guys wind up paying? Im getting one from a friend in the US for 27 of their dollars including shipping. Just wondering if I got burned, seems like an awful lot for one figure. I think I wound up paying a little more for last years Droids version though.

Me too, I'd darned near crap if I went in to TRU and found those on the shelf. Im so sick of looking at "Force Flipping" crap, it's unbelievable.

Because it's a permanent correction (a "running change"), the first few that show up are always big news. As time goes by, the corrected version becomes more and more widely available - so if you were going to sell it for a profit sooner is better. So many of the wrong handed ones were made, I wouldn't be "investing" in a bunch of them that's for sure. Nice to have both variations though.

NO takers........ here's a clue: Hasbro is making a figure of that character in 2004. No kidding, he'll be packed in with Bubo (the frog dog) and Rappertunie, another small critter from Jabba's Palace.

It was Terry. FYI, Chrissy bared all for Playboy many moons ago.

The movie was either Mallrats or Chasing Amy (not sure which - I think Mallrats). Terry played a gypsy mind reader who lures customers by doing the job topless - baring a mystical third nipple. At one point in the movie, she exposes herself as a fake by peeling off said extra nip and popping it in her mouth. Funny shtuff!

What was the Spin Off/ Follow Up series to "Three's Company" called? Who was Jack living with? Where were they living?

4 new members, who else was replaced beside Yaddle? I would assume  (based on the low likelihood that they'd have 2 similar looking characters on the counsel) that Eeth Koth and Adi Gallia were replaced? Who else was? This is the stuff that's so cool to know........ "Beat the Geeks" type info!  8)

Scout Report / Re:Clone Wars at Zellers

I found the Clone Wars line in my Zellers store as well (Nanaimo Rutherford Mall). At least 2 of each figure, with 3 of some. I got the only ARC Trooper, which was a red version. Very cool, as I think the ones Im getting from Kebco will all be blue.

To whomever left that figure there for me, much appreciated.

Welcome from Vancouver Island!

I came from Ontario to BC about 4 years ago now, must say collecting here has been pretty dry compared to what I was used to back there. I think things have been dry all over for that period however...... Ontario still seems to get stuff way before us, on those rare occasions anyone gets anything, that is.

Polls / Re:what should ep3 be called

Im thinking

The (Rise, Birth) of the Empire

The (End, Fall, Demise) of the Republic

But who knows. Who cares? In any case, it better be pretty damned good.

Apparently they were created for TRU who was going to run another buy 25 bucks worth of SW, get the free figure promo. As far as I know, they haven't finallized when this is going to take place. They haven't been giving them out in the US anywhere yet, to the best of my knowledge. Better to wait this one out, I think.

Nicely done! Can anyone name a movie in which one of the three actresses who's characters mentioned above bares her breasts?

Oh, is that an inappropriate question?

I think Yaddle was gone, but have no idea who replaced her. I think there may have been more changes as well.
