Just checked my local TRU this morning. They finally had some new stuff on the shelf - first time in months. No TVC or CW basic figures yet, but there was a couple each of the Cloud Car, Snowspeeder, Tank and Anakin's Fighter. Galactic Heroes AT-AT, and some other new packaging CW toys. I only picked up a Kul Teska though. I'm not much of a vehicle collector as I can't justify the prices, and most don't fit my shelves. I looked at the Cloud Car and Snowspeeder though, and I must say they are nice. If it wasn't for my extremely limited budget, I might have gotten one of them. Maybe if a sale comes along closer to Christmas and there's still something available... hopefully I have some more extra cash by then!

I've never much worried about that so never thought about it until now...
I also collect stamps, and with the new "sticky" stamps they have these days, it can sometimes be quite a chore to get them off the paper without mutilating the stamp. To do this, I have to "steam" it off by holding it over a kettle of boiling water (or submerge in hot water if that doesn't work). I wouldn't suggest dunking the figure, but has anyone ever tried steaming the bubble off before? I have a feeling it would make quite a mess, but it could be worth a shot testing on a card you don't care about first.

Hellboy's method is probably the safer way to go though...

I was at the big 'W' today, and I asked a lady in the isle with a 'Staff' shirt on, but not those 'blue jackets' if they had received anymore Vintage figures in today.  She said "Actually, I work for Hasbro, and I'm here to remove all the new Star Wars toys as they were put out by mistake....they are to be put out on August 7th".  She was also taking down some other Hasbro items, and boxing them up.  She said, there had been Hasbro staff sent to most Walmart stores to remove and tidy their displays.

I was wondering why I had only seen the new stuff at Wal-mart, and not even at every one of them yet. At first I thought the stores that didn't have the new stuff on the shelves yet just had poor management, but it turns out it's the other way around! Hopefully when everyone launches in a couple weeks, someone will have a sale to try to attract some of the customers (ie, ME!) Thanks for the info IanToronto!

And so is Grievous! what an update compared to the first CW release  :speechless-smiley-004:

What is updated from the 2008 & 2009 one?

Can't do this with the old CW Grievous  :o :

NICE! That explains everything, thanks! I'll definitely look into upgrading then.
My first version is still on card, and I try not to pick up multiple versions of figs, so maybe I'll dump it on ebay.

Does the new wave Obi-wan have articualted knees?  It doesn't look like it..........

Rebelscum lists him as a repack, so I'm thinking not articulated, just like the previous release.

Being a huge EU fan, I was super excited when I heard these were being released after all. Imagine my disappointment when I found out it was through EE only. I hate paying shipping on something I wish was available locally. But there's no way I'm paying inflated prices off eBay later on, so I think I might just bite the bullet and order them. At least I can get them shipped to my cousin who is going to school in Michigan (he's come in handy on more than one occasion already).

Thanks, I guess that all makes sense. Back when the OT first came out, I was a little too young and we didn't have much money for many toys, so I never got to experience the figures the first time around. So I guess for me, there isn't much nostalgia pull. Plus, I spent waaaaaaay too much in the last year trying to collect every one of the basic TLC and TCW figures, so I've decided to cut back for the next while and only pick up some of the more "unique" TVC figures that didn't have a Legacy release (like 4-LOM, Dengar, Cloud Car Pilot).

Can anyone enlighten me as to why the Boba Fett in this wave seems to be such a hot item? Isn't he just a repaint of the 2008 Evolutions Fett Legacy fig & the 2009 TLC BD36? Is he of special interest to the MOC collectors for some reason?

Or is it just that Boba Fett is a sweet character that everyone wants, both kids and collectors?  :fett:

Just wondering, since I already have the BD36 one, if there is any other reason for picking him up other than for the vintage cardback...

Just stumbled across these at a Wal-mart in the Niagara Region.
They must have just been put up this weekend, as they were not there on Thursday when I was in.
I think I was the first to get to them, as all three pegs they were hanging on were full.
Although I usually only buy when there's a sale, I only want a few of the Vintage figures, so I thought I might as well grab them while they're there and not have to worry about them anymore.
Here's a pic of what I got. Happy hunting to you all!!!

Scout Report / Re: Just got Legacy Wave 13 EU figs from US

For the CV sticker, this contest is open only to US residents. So if you're winning a CV invitation is your incentive to rip open these packages and if you're a carded collector, I suggest you refrain yourself. Else, treat yourself and open them, they certainly look nice! :)

Thanks for the info JediPatrick! I'm not really a carded collector (except for maybe a few rare figures that might cost a lot to get a hold of). I just haven't gotten around to expanding my display area recently, so I've just been storing newer purchases in a box without opening them up right away. I was just wondering if I should be in a hurry to open those ones now or not. Once I get a shelf cleared off for them, I'll definitely rip into them!

Scout Report / Just got Legacy Wave 13 EU figs from US

I just received in the mail today 7 figures from the TRU Legacy wave 13 [the 6 new ones plus Cloud City Wing Guard II (Utris M'Toc)].
I got them in a "buy it now" lot off of eBay, came out to about $12.80 each after shipping. A bit overpriced but still cheaper than buying them separately, and saves me the hassle of driving around Buffalo trying to find them all. I think that will be it for buying for me for a while, I've got to replenish the bank account a bit.

Overall I'd say the wave is pretty decent. My favs would be Shaak Ti and the Spacetrooper. They all came new in package, and I have yet to open them. They all have a sticker on the front saying I could instantly win a trip to Celebration V this summer... not sure if that's only open to US residents though. I'm trying to decide if I want to open them to find out what that's all about...

I saw these too, but couldn't remember how much they usually go for.
I'd like to grab a couple if it's actually a good deal.
Does anyone remember the regular price? Thanks!

Hi everyone, new guy here. I just got back from Zellers and decided I had to register just to tell you the deal I found.

As IanToronto wondered about, the basic figs that are already marked down to $6.89 were also an additional 25% off... so they were $5.17 a piece with this sale.

I'm not sure if it was just the one Zellers that may have made a mistake (I have known them to do things that this before).
Hoping that it is chain-wide though, looking to swing by a couple more close by and see.
Might return a bunch of the ones I just bought at Wal-Mart and pick them up at Zellers for the sale price.

Hope this turns up a deal for some of you guys!
