Apparently 200 more stores are closing.  Bringing the total to 380 or 44% of all stores.  9000 jobs about to be lost.  5 billion in dept still sitting there.

I needed a break from re-bagging comic books.  :speechless-smiley-004:

Wow, thats funny.  I was doing the same today.  Bought a collection off of someone and it needed re-bagging pretty bad.

You know, here's what I would like to see in the Solo movie.  I love cameos, Rouge One had a few.  I just love that stuff.  When I read a few reviews for Rouge One they actually complained about the cameos.  I don't get that, I'm a fan, I want to see cameos.  Boba Fett, Vader, Tarkin, Jabba, Tonnika Sisters, etc.. I don't care, I just want some.

I wanna see something new.  Like when Vader started slicing up Rebel Troops.  Or when Kylo Ren froze the blaster fire.  I just want to have a "wow, that was cool" moment.

The full trailer will probably drop in March, so we will have to wait till then to see anything more.

Oh, I did see that Kathleen Kennedy say that George stopped by for a quick visit on set while Ron Howard was directing.  What was supposed to be a short visit turned into several hours and George pretty much taking over the scene that was being filmed.  Well, ok, not taking over, but he did make some suggestions to Ron Howard and apparently Ron used them and they end up in the final cut.

I've heard really good things about the Poe comic but haven't picked it up yet.

I think my next "big" purchase will be Star Wars Vol 1.  By "big", I mean over $30.  I've been wanting to get this for a while now, and Vol 3 comes out this summer so I'd like to get 1 & 2 and then 3 and then binge.

I don't know if anyone noticed but the Falcon in the trailer is the original McQuarie design, not what we've always been used to.

I do like the soundtrack though.

Disney CEO said that there will be no "R" rated content on their streaming service.  All of that will go to Hulu.  They also said when the streaming service goes online, there will be a new Marvel and a new Star Wars series to enjoy.

hardcover if I can get them at a decent price.

That's the tricky part.  It takes a lot of patience.

Just heard this too.  This is crazy.  But the good kinda crazy.

I don't know what to think.

Finally picked up the hard cover for Darth Vader (vol 1).  Chapters .ca had it for about $10 off.  I guess that's as good as it's gonna get.  I have the soft cover versions of Vol 1 and Vol 2 (the hard cover contains both vol 1 and vol 2 plus more) but I prefer the hard covers now.  I've got a few older soft covers that are falling apart (Death of Superman, Cable, etc..).

Expanded Universe - Legacy & the New EU / Re: Star Wars: Catalyst
« on: February 04, 2018, 10:48:16 PM »
Starting Catalyst but this one may take me a while.  Finding it a bit dull at first.

Just finished the first season of Van Helsing on Netflix.  The first episode was great, then the next 10 were boring, then the last two were really good.  I'm gonna keep going, since they just put Season 2 on there.

If you like The Walking Dead you might enjoy this.  It's pretty much the same, instead of zombies though they have vampires.

Season 1 I give a 6/10.

I've seen a lot of negative reviews for Iron Fist but I enjoyed it.  I would actually place it above Jessica Jones on my list.  So here is my Marvel Netflix ranking:

1) Daredevil Season 2
2) Daredevil Season 1
3) Luke Cage Season 1
4) Iron Fist
5) Jessica Jones

Just gonna update my list here.

1) Daredevil Season 2
2) Daredevil Season 1
3) The Defenders
4) Luke Cage Season 1
5) The Punisher
6) Iron Fist
7) Jessica Jones

The Defenders was good, just a hair better than Luke Cage.  The Punisher wash just OK.  Every episode had the same flash backs over and over and it got a little blah.  The violence was cranked up a bit though, and that was fun.
