Fairfax has made a $300 Million dollar bid for Toysrus Canada.  Toysrus has until Monday to hear from any other bidders.   Some of the highlights of why Fairfax has made the bid are:  unlike the USA, Toysrus Canada is a profitable business also TOYSRUS Canada owns 22 of their 82 stores, so Fairfax is buying property that is worth $250 million and only paying an extra $50 million for the business.  This bid has set the bar for other people to beat.  The bid is what is called a "stalking horse bid" which allows other potential buyers to enter competing proposals by Monday. If another bid is presented, Fairfax would then have the option of either increasing its offer or walking away.  Earlier this week TOYSRUS rejected an offer from MGA Entertainment Inc.  Cross your fingers... this maybe the deal that saves TOYSRUS Canada.
Excludes clearance items as per usual.

Two specific items mentioned in the ad are BS 6" 29.99 figures 40% off - 17.97 and Nerf Hercules (Chewbacca) Blaster 16.7% off - 49.97.

3 Solo Lego items are shown but the prices end in .94 which typically means they won't be part of a sale although at 5 cents less than the usual price one could tehnically claim they are discounted. I think most SW Lego items will be discounted.

12 Apr 2018 - Solo toys tomorrow?

So, what do we all think? If I go to a store in Canada tomorrow, will I find a bunch of Solo toys?
My brother makes models that are constructed from patterns printed onto paper, cut with scissors and x-acto knives and then glued together. He found this one and shared it with me.  It's crazy detailed and considering the material it's made out of, absolutely amazing...
