Animated Transformers
« on: December 18, 2008, 09:35:17 PM »

Damn you Hasbro!

Long ago I used to collect Transformers but I got tired of them and eventually sold them all off. The last one to go was my G1 Devastator which I sold two years ago. The Transformers movie got me a little excited about them again but not enough to get back into collecting. I saw some of the new animated series when it first aired and I thought it was pretty lame but the Grimlock figure has been catching the corner of my eye every time I go browsing for Star Wars figures.

Grimlock was always one of my favourite Transformers but still I was resistant to his charms. Then I saw Snarl (I thought Snarl was the Stegosaurus and Slag was the Triceratops). Two dinobots! Two cool looking dinobots but not cool enough to crack this seasoned collector.

Well, today I saw Swoop.

Swoop was my favourite Transformer toy that owned so long ago.

I caved.

He's so freeking cool.

Now I've got to save for Grimlock and Snarl.

And Jazz looked pretty cool.

So did Starscream...

The tf animated line is awesome. it's very posable and look good in both robot mode and alt mode.  the leader class is 50 % off now at toysrus now and it's worth getting. ;)

I saw those... $30 is still pretty pricey for me. I should have grabbed Grimlock when he was on sale a week ago. Snarl and Jazz were down to $9.99 but I was still resisting at that point.

My wife bought Grimlock for her nephew for Christmas... maybe I'll at least get to play with it then.  :)

I Fell today. I bought Swoop and Grimlock. Lucky me (again) there was a pricing error on grimlock so I got it for 17.92 at Wal-Mart. They are now 29.99 but on the package, there's a little sticker that list them at 27.92 but they marked over with a black pen so we don't see the price, I found one without the marker over it so I grabbed it.

I got Grimlock and Snarl too. I'm weak... and there's been no Clone Wars stuff for months...

I have almost everythign thats been on Canadian shelves, apart from the new stealth lockdown and rescue ratchet. I love this range, the best so far for me (apart from the DInobots) would have to be vector Prime, this one is so cool finally a snowplow Transformer...
