The cartoons: Both Ewoks and Droids are putrid... I can't believe that they even include it in the lore. They're far worse than any EU.

The remasters. Plain and simple. Don't fix something that isn't broken. Apparently Lucas doesn't understand that.

have to go with the Special Editions.  While some of the effects may have been improved, changing scenes and adding things that didn't really need to be added ruined them.

We have the new Star Wars XBox and the Star Wars Kinect game.  They are fantastic.  Have you guys played it?
You get to be a Rancor and go on a rampage, eat people, jump on buildings, etc., we all seem to like it.  My daughter loves the dancing game.

Here's a novel choice - the internet. If we didn't have each others' negativity to feed off, who knows what the overall perception of Star Wars would be these days. My suspicion is that it would be more positive.

Speaking of the internet! How odd is it that I can quote you on something you said about six years ago!!??  :scared0008:

Anyway, I think there are those that did have their negativity fueled and sustained by the internet. But I know that I for one came to it in order to vent and that my anger has actually been honed into something more coherent and hopefully more nuanced in having had to fight it out in the presence of others. When I first took to forums to rant and rave I was pretty much frothing at the mouth. Then I encountered a variety of other opinions, many of which I still do not share, but as I said it made me have to take a look at my assumptions and at the very least be prepared to go deeper to defend them. I feel that my hatred of the prequels is now much more substantiated than it was before but I also recognize that some can find it good for reasons all their own, some of which I respect, others of which I simply tolerate because there often is no easy accounting for taste.

Anyway, my two cents on negativity, Star Wars, and the internet. And it is by no means scientifically substantiated, just my personal experience.
