i wonder what the chances are that we'd get these anywhere else in Canada soon (like say in... Ottawa perhaps?).  That would be sweet.
Bah.
You're so funny.  We don't get anything good  here in Ottawa. shakehead

PS. this is not an item that is worth getting in the States unless you are visiting there or something. The gas alone would cost you alot more than the $70 price difference. Trust me I've done it and it is rarely worth it. Plus this box will fill up a small car, it is huge. Best to get it here. If you can find it. Gas prices just don't make it worth it anymore to go south. Also, this is the largest toy I have ever seen in box for Star Wars or anything else action figure related. Its heavy too. Shipping will be enormous.

True, but having it shipped to you might be worth it??

I sent pegger some stuff. Less than the Falcon. I'm in Pittsburgh. I'm guessing (and it really is just a guess) that shipping to CA would be $40. The BMF is going to cost us $160 here in the US. So, if that shipping guess holds true, then it would equal out. You'd then just have to consider customs on it.

Just a thought and another option. Especially for those of you who may live in an area that won't get these.

Absolutely, if your in an area that can't get these or you can't find it, by all means if shipping is that cheap, go with the shipping option. Driving around is just not feasible anymore with the rise in gas prices here.

Shipping is just so bloody expensive in Canada. Canada post for example probably would charge us double what rates you get in the States. So I cannot really say what shipping would be like from the States.

I guess for those of you who bought the Imperial shuttle can sort of get an idea of cost. But the box for the BMF is twice the size and twice as heavy. So ...

Stopped at 2 TRUs in the GTA and no BMF. Wasn't expecting it really, but after seeing the pics, thought I'd try.

Very disappointed in the price. Unfortunately to get it from the US would probably end up about the same unless you're already there, but there's no reason it should have a 33% mark-up over the US price.

Anyone know if these will show up at Walmart for a reasonable price?

Sal - it's got HANDLES in the BOX! (on the side)

I'm so disappointed that my TRU wouldn't let me buy the one I saw.  Kudos to you TILALLR1.

I even went this morning and said "Hey - some guy in Oakville bought one - com'on!"  and it was a no go.

I hear you. When I saw it, I grabbed it not even thinking that it would be that much. Then the lady rang up the total, and my jaw dropped. Oh well I thought, probably the same as getting it shipped so I took the plunge. Didn't even know that it hadn't come out yet. Then I had to explain to the wife why I needed yet another Millenium Falcon and this one cost 4 times what the other ones cost ... But that is another story.

That really ... really ... really sucks.  sign0065  mad0137 mad0177 mad0039

Wish I had bought more than one of them for one of you guys. Honestly didn't know this wasn't a widespread release. If I had some of you would also be enjoying this piece of art.

Trust me too it needs the handles, this thing is HEAVY. Like I said largest Star Wars box I have EVER seen. The box art is awesome too, thing is a piece of artwork before it even leaves the box. I really don't want to open it but it is calling to me. Probably won't get around to it till this Sunday though. Sons 1st Birthday this weekend (But it looks like I got the best present). So kinda busy for the next couple of days.

Well, I got handles around my side....but that's a whole different story, lol.

Too bad you couldn't get this now pegger.

But it's promising though for you folks.

Hopefully TRU Canada doesn't get penalized for this.

Yeah - I got handles too.

The guy at my TRU said - someone's gonna get in deep s%&^#t over this one.  (I really don't blame the guy at my TRU - he is just doing his job - and I really can't afford it right now - but it would be sweet)

I just talked to someone at my TRU here (gave them the number of the receipt that was posted) to get some "history".

He said it appears the warehouse sent these out on the 9th and it appeared all TRU would be getting 4 units...nothing on whether or not there was a hold date or anything (not that I asked him for fear of tipping him off!)...he merely said call back next week and if they are in stock they'll take a name to hold one. So it would be interesting to know if there will be a TRU memo on these about not to put out for sale by then.

My TRU guy said they have a big red "Hold Date" on the boxes... said they'd get fined if they put them out... no biggie... I can wait... but, man, that would have made this coming Father's Day extra awesome.
