You face a classic collector dilemma:

Don't buy it and you'll probably regret it.

Do buy it and you'll probably find it for half the price on clearance the next day.

The only place I've seen it is Toys R Us for $250.

I was kind of hoping it'd have the same fate as the 6" TIE and end up 75% off. But, I'm thinking they didn't order many and not many stores seemed to have ordered any AT-ATCs at all. The TIE was everywhere and in massive quantities. I'm thinking we might see the AT-ATC hit 50% off, but I was hoping that would be _now_. Even at 50% off, that'd still be $125 which isn't much less than Target here.

Yeah, trying to convince myself ;-)

Don't worry, I feel the same way. If you look at the Walmart AT-ST, and compare what you get, then the Target At-Act price is a steal if that helps.

Also, if it goes 50% off or less at TRU, no guarantee you'll be able to get it cause I think stock levels were low to begin with.

I got the Rogue One 6" 3-pack and the Saga 7-pack from Target.com - seemed to be a good deal. You have to pay the customs but with the free shipping totally worth it.

I noticed after the fact, if you want to order something really cheap, (probably less than $20) then they DON'T seem to charge the customs fees. I guess since it is less than the allowable limit for duty free. And there is no minimum order to get free shipping, so you're probably better off placing separate orders for all the really cheap items. For example the maul 2 pack is $7.48Can, free shipping and no taxes or duty if you order it on its own.

When you go to target.com it should bounce you to their "international site". It's very glitchy and slow but it works. Then in the check out process put FREESHIP into the coupon code box.

Yep, $20 and below and there were no duties or taxes. You could actually choose an option to pay the fees upon arrival or pay them now. (Didn't notice this at first as I did an order with pay upon arrival - the default option.) Another order, however, I noticed the pay now option and when I clicked on it, duties owed was nothing for less than $20.

My half-off remark was more tongue in cheek (based on my own personal collecting experience) than anything else. Didn't mean it literally. Sorry about any confusion.

Regarding the AT-ACT, I checked out the Target price with fees and the TRU price (think I did $100 off - a good flyer headline - plus taxes) and it was probably a difference of $30 or less so ya, for anyone interested in picking one up, the AT-ACT was a real nice deal at Target (so it's a good thing you picked one up).

I wouldn't be surprised to see it hit a big discount with TLJ toys heading our way along with Christmas deals (TRU often has one or two midnight madness sales), but, it's not guaranteed and, even if it does happen, it's unlikely to be at a price significantly better (or perhaps even better at all) than Target's.

Plus, of course, by buying it at Target, there's that whole not having to wait a few months for something that's not even guaranteed to happen thing.

As of Sunday night, by the way, the AT-ACT, was "unavailable". So, again, good choice picking one up as, for someone who wants an AT-ACT, this probably would have landed on the "don't pick it up and kick yourself the next day" side of the coin.

Probably to avoid any issues like they had last time when some BS figures accidentally got leaked and people were buying them at the clearance price. This way, if they leak, they'll still be full price.
