Best offshoot line in Star Wars figures
« on: February 19, 2009, 03:14:25 PM »

Im certainly going to say Comic packs... they are the best sculpts, best articulation and paint, and they're are many of them. Im also a huge star wars comic fan, so, these are great being mostly all EU. Have your say!

I like many of the offshoots but I have to choose either the battle packs or Evolutions sets as being the best.  I'm going to go with the battle packs.

They're COLLECTIBLES.  They don't become TOYS until you take them out of the package.

I love the old Marvel Comics and love it when they do figures based on them. Lumiya coming up!

I don't consider vehicles to be an offshoot, so I didn't count them. I was torn between the comic packs and the battle packs. I went with battle packs though since they usually have more figures. Though their execution could better sometimes with less redundant figures.

I went with the Evolutions packs since most of the Battle Packs are re-packs of figures. The Evolutions figures are also (usually) higher quality whereas the Battle Backs are notorious for figures from the POTF era quality.

I also buy more Evolutions packs than any of the others listed.

Every true Star Wars fan is a Luke Skywalker, looking at his twisted, evil father, and somehow seeing good.

Trust me.

comic packs: you get better quality figures and sculpts, and more variety of source material, as well as including a piece of said source material~

I picked Battle Pack. I know that they are all re released old figures. But as a collector who is fairly new to the game, it is pretty cool to get a hand full of figures together that you might not be able to find other places. It does kinda suck that the prices went up and there is not longer five figures per set.
