2009 Comic Packs
« on: October 14, 2009, 05:26:31 PM »

Found these down in LA too: They were $12.99 USD + tax at one of the TRU outlets they took over from KB-Toys.

#7) Lumiya & Luke Skywalker: Lumiya is fantastic. Nothing really compares to her design. Extra head is nice. Good articulation. Good whip. Luke seems to be a kitbash from older parts so he's nothing to write-home about. Rating: Lumiya - 4.5/5. Luke - 3/5.

#8) Darth Krayt & Sigel Dare: This is a great pack. Krayt is all kinds of awesome. Sigel's hood is just as finicky as the previous Imperial Knights. Rating: Krayt- 5/5. Sigel - 4.5/5.

Been waiting for the Lumiya one for ages! I don't even know if it's coming to Canada.

Not sure if these are coming either. There was a report in the Canadian section on Rebelscum, but not really a confirmation. I really want the Darth Krayt set.

I've been dying to get my hands on one of these packs forever! Lumiya is so sweet!  Well, 'sweet' in that bitter, hateful dark side sense of the word. Like Chainguns said, the Luke is alright, he's got the two lightsabers so he can defend against Lumiya's crazy whip.

London Drugs (Western Canada) had these for $14.99. They had lots.

This Sigel Dare figure is actually pretty good- considering I thought it was the obligatory second figure dullio to go with Krayt. Her armor is metallic and shiny compared to the other two imperial Jedi from a previous comic pack:

Great pics! I've been spoiled by the amount of articulation on the new GI Joes, but Sigel still looks pretty good, as does Lumiya!

Just found the Krayt/dare and luke/lumiya pack yesterday.

I love Krayt's sculpt, only issue i have, is that he can barely hold on to his lightsabers. Dare is awesome, no issues there.

Luke again, can barely hold both lightsabers, but great look. Lumiya looks awesome too, but again has trouble with accessories.

Anyone else have an issue with these accessories? The best solution for me was to just put the clear rubber bands back on the hands.

The Katarn/ Vong pack is still my favourite.

I was finally able to get my hands on the Krayt/Dare and Draco/Kreig Comic Packs during Zellers 30% off sale. Both are great sets. Krayt is a really cool figure. And after seeing Yael's pictures of Vong/Katarn, I will certainly be picking that set up soon! Man that is one HUGE figure!
