ooh, this looks like it's going to be awesome!
i've been planning/considering making a sort of dalek costume for a while, but instead of building myself something like this (seriously, where would i put it? confused0024 ) i'm going to try and make my own dalek dress like link and link

hahaha, that'd be a lot of things to have to explain to everyone  tongue0024
so, quick question about these...are they just for display pieces? or, with the dalek, could it actually be used as a costume somehow? (if you could put some kind of moterized wheelchair inside that, maybe add a small camera/screen... wink )

LOL.
The dalek will mainly be a display piece in the yard, somethign to look at and something for the kids to play with. If all goes well I will either be making another one or I will put a motorized wheelchair set up inside, most people who make DALEKS put a seat in and eaither just wheels on the bottom and walk it like a flitstones car or they put a motor in.
The TARDIS will be just a play house thing, I will put lights on a subwoofer inside so when they press some buttons it will materialize and dematerialize.

Latest on DALEK.

I use to watch Dr. Who when I was a kid. For whatever reason, I don't follow it anymore. But I have got to say FamilyMan, your Dalek, looks amazing! Are you a carpenter or just have great imagination and building skills? Man that looks sweet.

Dalek update: Been a while since I updated you guys on the Dalek, mainly because it has been a while since I did anything to it, I have been working on my clone trooper armor, but over the past few days I have had chance to getworking on the arm ball joints, and the Gun arm. The gun arm worked out really well, just a piece of pipe, some wood and 4 coat hangers..

nice job on the arms, but for the gun, wouldn't it have been easier to just take the frame from a paint roller and attach that instead?

nice idea and some do do that when building their Daleks, but the problem is most paint rollers only have 4 - 6 bars, the dalek gun has 8..
