TVC 15 Clone Trooper
« on: October 17, 2010, 10:19:57 PM »

This has been the only figure of the 2nd wave that i've found on shelves yet.  I was just wondering if anyone else has found that the white of the body doesn't match at all with the white/grey of the helmet.  Not sure if it's a paint issue or a plastic issue.  I didn't notice it until I was at home, although there wouldn't have been another one there to compare to anyways. :confused0024:

It doesn't just not match, all of the helmets I have seen have been yellow.

Can't say I've seen this, the only ones I've found have looked all white to me. Although I didn't pay super close attention to them, as I wasn't really interested in picking this one up.

I think I read on here somewhere that the yellowishness rubs off - just some possible residue from the mold? I guess that's fine for us openers, but if you're a MOC collector you're stuck with it.

I can't say for sure if it rubs off.  It might, but I honestly can't tell because it's immediately less noticeable when not under the flourescent lights in the store.

I never picked up this figure because of the yellowish helmet, but yesterday I found one at TRU where the yellow wasn't very noticable. And I must say, after opening this guy up, I really like him. Those ball jointed hips really make him a great figure. I think I will be picking up a couple more. Not really sure why Hasbro didn't give him a correct helmet though? Like how many years have they been making ROTS Clones?

I found one yesterday that was completely white(looked corrected to me) but passed on it anyway. I don't like that the helmet is so "fat" for lack or a better word.

The lack of stripes is what I was refering to. It doesn't bother me all that much, but I still notice it.

I was doing some reading online about what to do with the yellowing helmet of this figure. And one guy said to use a regular white eraser. So last night I tried it out, and it really does work. Now all my VTC Clones have white helmets. They look a lot better.

This is one of the few figures in the Vintage collection that I have always passed on, even though he is always been available. Just can't beat the Saga Legends version.
