Would be nice - but not holding my breath...We've been getting rooked for years on stuff...Last time I was in FL (in April) almost every Blu-Ray except the collector sets were 19.99 at Wal-Mart...Don't even get me started on the price of booze either!!

I have friends who drive 3hrs to Home Depot & 3hrs home - they still save hundreds & hundreds of dollars on building materials.  :speechless-smiley-004:

Off the top of my head... I believe our minimum wage is more expensive. Our utilities are more expensive. The buying power of our retail community is much smaller than the US. Basically, our basic cost of doing business is more expensive so naturally our products have to be higher priced.

This does not explain building materials like lumber where it is harvested here and shipped to the US though.
