There wasn't a sale advertised for these items...but by looking at the shelf 'price cut' signs for the other star wars figures....the sale price for the Tauntauns and Landspeeders are either in line to end on Dec. 08 (same as the $5.99 figures)...or Dec. 29 (same as the Vintage 3-Packs), hopefully.

The Zellers I went to has a sign up for the Speeder and Taun Taun. Price Cut from $19.99 to $12.99. Sales ends Dec 29th.

Has anyone opened up their landspeeder yet? I put mine aside for Christmas, for the wifey to put in my stocking. I was wondering if it is a 2002 saga toysrus exclusive repaint http://www.rebelscum.com/sagalandspeeder.asp or the original potf2 http://www.rebelscum.com/potf2landspeeder.asp ? Are there any modifications anyone can notice. I am 99% sure it is a saga repaint, however, on first glance the box doesn't seem big enough.

Maybe I'm half blind but I almost threw out the cardboard insert that comes with the landspeeder before noticing the rifle attached to it! Keep your eyes open!

I just picked both of these up today. Certainly made my day! I found them at the Stratford Zellers.

I called a few Zellers and it appears that they are getting 18 boxes each. Each box is a 2 pack with one Landspeeder and one TaunTaun. The cardboard box does not say Star Wars on it except for a white scanning sticker which says SW Vintage Vehicle Asst. If you are looking for the case or want to tell your helpful Zellers employee what to look for, what is in larger print is Hasbro TOYS, HBC Canada, order number 4414155 dept. No. 787. syle no. 33240, SKU number 84865981, quantity 2 PCS, made in China . The gross wt is 1.02 KGS and the Net Wt is .82 KGS and the cubic meters of the box 0.011. So your store should hopefully have 18 of each of these boxes. Sounds like a lot but at $12.99 and it is Christmas - I suggest you do not wait long to pick your up.

Seems like these are a hit at the $12.99 price point. Hopefully that sends a message to Zellers and other retailers that properly-priced exclusives have no problem selling, and we can get some more of these kind of things up here in Canada.

12.99? I don't think so, when I called to ask they said, you mean the ones that are 12.99 regularly 19.99? That's what showed up in their system. I was just hoping they'd also qualify for the bogoho sale! But they didn't, doesn't include price cut items.

I got them this weekend. Shelf tag said 22.99 - Scanned them and they came up as reg 19.99 - Sale 12.99. Both are decent. Tauntaun, while having good articulation, could have come with at least 1 fig ... Speeder is a "I'm not sure I dig it yet" repaint and the hood no longer opens to see the engine. Rifle doesn't quite clip on properly, but hey - it's a landspeeder, and they haven't been available lately. I'd still say if you miss the sale, neither are worth $20 a pop.

I'm fine with the $12.99 sale price, I'm just really surprised they were $19.99 regular price. I fully expected $24.99 or $29.99, after seeing them at $69.99 in Singapore.

Both the Speeder and Tauntaun are very well done. I'm glad I found them on sale (finally) but I still think they are worth picking up at $19.99 for those who miss it.
