3rd episode was boring except for that last minute ending. They seem to make good cliff-hangers. Now if only they could improve the show!  :rollfloorlaffsmiley:

The characters are getting a little more fleshed out. The annoying edge is coming off them a little. But there is a long way to go yet.

If the show lasts, that guy is totally coming back as some gravity-based super villain, though.

EDIT: And I guess his name is Graviton: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graviton_%28comics%29

I watched the first episode, found it nothing special, didn't really grab me. By the time I got to the second episode I'd already forgotten what happened in episode 1. Got distracted after 15 minutes of Ep 2 and now I think I'm done. If it lasts and word of mouth is good I may try again later, but I'm just not hooked.

It's funny, I'm not a huge comics guy, but Spider-man has always been my favourite super hero and I am far more partial to the Marvel Universe over the DC (don't think I've read more than a dozen DC comics other than Batman in my life), yet I'm totally hooked on Arrow and have little to no interest in the this Shield series. I guess it's more about the show and its ability to hook me than the Universe it is in.

Orphan Black is another show that totally hooked me. Damn, that show is addictive! And Sleepy Hollow has me too. But I digress....

Well the ratings have gotten the show picked up for the full season:

Not a surprise. With a large built in audience it would be pretty hard to screw up bad enough for ratings to drop so much after only 3 episodes that they would not get picked up. Good for them though, it will give them a chance to find their legs. And if it does turn into a quality show I'm sure I'll check in with it again down the road.

They keep saying Tahiti is a magical place - I'm hopeful we'll actually see what's going on there this season.

Actually Agent Coulson was never in Tahiti "grabbing a rest" he was dead and replaced by this LMD (Life Model Decoy) or clone. Remember?  ;)

You're on to something. I would prefer them to introduce Dr. Stephen Strange on Tahiti & explain how the Sorcerer Supreme helped SHIELD get Coulsen back.

I'm liking the show and the young hot actresses eye candy that Joss Whedon is famous for is a nice bonus!  :D

I too hope that Coulson isn't just a droid! I hope maybe his soul, like you're saying, is in that LMD!

So, what are people's thoughts now?  I think this show is OK, but not great.  Perhaps the best thing from the show for me was the discovery of the show that came on right after - The Goldbergs.  Have you guys watched that?  It's a comedy about a kid in the 1980s who loves Star Wars, GI Joe, etc. and just about his interactions with his siblings and parents.  Pretty funny show, especially for anyone who was a kid in the 80s.

Honestly, I quit watching when Rogers decided they were going to pull a bunch of episodes down off their on demand service & I wasn't able to catch up. Now I'm wrestling with the "will I or won't I" about buying the bluray season.  :speechless-smiley-004:

I think this show has gained steam as it has gone.  I actually like it now.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!

I think having Ward revealed as a bad guy was a nice move.  It's good to have a little unpredictability.  If the good guys always stay good, and never die, etc., then it lacks a little emotional depth a lot of the time, and the Ward part helped the show.  I have a feeling he is going to change sides again, though, so we'll see.

It's like they fired the writing staff halfway through.   What a great turnaround!  It's gone "I guess I should watch it..." to must-see-TV.
