quality jump?
« on: November 29, 2011, 06:26:59 PM »

i guess this could be a good thing, haha...
just picked up commander colt and wolffe, and i'm trying to compare them to the previous clone wars figures from the early points of the line...it seems like they've generally taken a huge step up in quality to me. sculpts look better and more detailed, paint apps are crisper and more varied, the weapons seem less clunky and huge...all in all, it seems to me like the CW line is a lot better than i remember it being. is this just hasbro keeping up with the show and the producers/etc putting more detail into everything (save plots :P ) or is hasbutt actually trying to do a good job for once?

I noticed a big jump in quality with the Nadarr Vebb mail-away figure - and I assumed they were just trying to make that one especially nice. Really though, since around that time they've been better. Sturdier.

I think the quality of the CW line has jumped a bit since it first launched. It may be new technology rendering 3D objects or updated production facilities... either way it's my favorite line at the moment (although I'm sad to see the introduction of the BAD parts on the R units).

Every true Star Wars fan is a Luke Skywalker, looking at his twisted, evil father, and somehow seeing good.

Trust me.

Well the pics I've seen of the opress figures have impressed me, I rarely buy 3 3/4 anymore, but if I see that one I'll be buying it.
