Adding joints to characters without them
« on: February 23, 2014, 02:13:15 PM »

Specifically, the more spindly limbed females (SOTE Comic Pack Leia, and CW Ventress for these examples)

I found this Leia at the flea market for a dollar, but the lack of elbows really bugged me. I had a few Revoltech figures in the past, and liked the ball joint articulation they had, so i found a package of replacement joints on ebay, cut the arms about where i imagined the elbow would be, then drilled holes into the segments, inserted the ends of the joint and presto!

No pics yet, but i did the same thing to the CW Ventress this morning as well. (the one with the Dooku Hologram) She was simpler to do because of the swivel forearms. I just popped those off, cut the arms a bit higher up to reduce any monkey arm potential, and did the same as i did with Leia. Took all of 5 minutes (not counting shipping time from ebay for the joints LOL)
