G1 style Ravage built out of foam.
« on: February 26, 2014, 01:40:23 PM »

I love Transformers, especially G1. And when I was growing up Soundwave was the best! I loved Ravage aswell. I never owned a Ravage when I was a kid but now I get to build one.
This is what I have so far.
The shoulder template still needs some work on it, but I just spent over an hour on it so I am taking a break.

I grew up loving the G1 transformer series too and also loved Soundwave and his various cassette tape buddies.  I actually had a Soundwave from a garage sale and ended up getting Ravage, Laserbeak and Rumble.  Aside from Bumblebee those were the only ones I ever owned due to the high prices on the bigger models.

Your Ravage looks awesome, great work so far it's going to look killer when it's done.  Then you can start up on a Laserbeak and a version of Soundwave to the same scale...

Here is the latest. I have finished all four legs and feet, they need a little cleaning but that's nothing. All I need to do now is the tail, bottom jaw and underbelly. Then I need to build a base of some sort. I am going to supporting Ravage with a wooden poll (Eventually I will get a clear acrylic tube) the poll will be coming out around the middle of him and be fixed to a small flat wooden base, high enough that his feet will rest on the floor but not actually support him.

Here are all the pieces for the feet.

And here is everything balanced together. I can not glue the feet to the legs or the legs to the body yet as they need to be painted.
