I would have gone except your post is the first I've heard about it and it's already sold out  :mad0137:

I'm quite surprised that these two bands are touring together again.  I hope for the sake of everybody that NIN closes the show this time.  I saw them play together WAAAAAYYY back in August of 1994 at Molson Park in Barrie.  I went into that show with Soundgarden as my favorite band of the time, Superunknown had just been released and I had already been into them with their prior release of Badmotorfinger.  I really liked NIN alot as well, but Soundgarden still had a higher ranking, unfortunately for Soundgarden the tables turned before the end of the night.  I had been to a NIN show prior to the Molson Park show so I was aware of their energy and stage pressence, but had not seen Soundgarden up to that night.  Even though Soundgarden had been around and popular slightly longer than NIN I think that they made a big mistake by closing the show after NIN.  Soundgarden performed alright but their stage pressence lacks the intensity that Nails brings to the table.  By performing after them it made them seem somewhat bland, I personally felt it and you could sense the same feeling from the entire crowd.  Very anti-climatic.

Want to trade your ticket for some star wars figures... :winking0071:

Oh man... I feel bad now - I actually had a buddy cancel last minute and I did have an extra ticket!!!

Soundgarden oddly stole the show for me - the energy and force they were pumping things out at was insane. Could really feel that Zeppelin influence live and their songs had a different vibe from studio versions.

It did rain after their 4th song ( rain started during Black Hole Sun... stopped slightly during My Wave and then came down hard rest of the show).

Trent played some songs that I really didnt think made sense when you look at his whole set list but he did play the "main" things new and old you wanted to hear and it was a diff set list from the ACC show.

All in all the crowd was great, I was flying high on a solid toxicity mix, and I was not left feeling disappointed

Don't feel too bad...  I've been to many a great show and I've missed alot more great shows over the years.  I'm glad that you had a good time and that the bands performed well.  I have a friend who's co-worker went and he echoed your sentiments.

I didn't end up posting anything about it on here but over a month ago I went to a tiny bar in Orillia to see Hayden perform solo.  It was an amazing night.  The next show that I have on the horizon is Alice in Chains at Casino Rama in a couple of weeks.  Obviously won't be the same without Layne but this will be my first opportunity to see this band since I got into them in the early '90's.
