Fantastic idea! You've given me an early New Year's resolution!

My kids & wife watched Singin in the Rain last night while I was at work, I think Debbie's death hit them harder than Carrie's - they LOVE that movie.  :(

Somewhere, George Lucas is thinking to himself, "Those nerds were wrong, you CAN die of a broken heart..."

It is nice though that while mother and daughter initially had a troubled relationship, they were able to reconcile and become best friends, living next door to each other. As Carrie once joked, she'd get a phone call from her mom every morning which would go: "Good morning Carrie, it's your mother (pause) Debbie."  as if Carrie would somehow not know who her mom was that she felt the need to pause for a moment and say her name, every single time she called. Quite funny.

If anyone wants a very timely and surreal look into Carrie Fisher's emergence to stardom as she made Star Wars and all the emotional toils she struggled with at age 19, give her new memoir 'The Princess Diarist' a read. Very cathartic yet saddening at the trials of rising to fame so fast while falling for your married co-star.

Having an affair with a coworker is definitely wrong IMO, but ...it's sleeping around with Carrie Fisher in her prime, kind of hard to resist for 99% of most men I would imagine.

(Of course my crush on Ms Fisher didn't start until she started wearing a certain metal bikini but still!)

I have a friend who somehow always manages to mess up expressions. In his immortal words - "It takes two to tangle" :winking0071:

true, it takes two to tango, tangle. he was older and married. it just makes him look like a jerk plus hes known to be not overly friendly. she was taken by him and only 19.

ah well. things happen for a reason as they say. so...
