Awesome, thank you for all your hard work!

Traveling to the store to take a low-percentage shot at finding your item is becoming less & less rewarding - online shopping has become the "go to" for many collectors.

Folks, this list provides you with lots of options, but it's going to be the USER FEEDBACK that makes it much more valuable.

PLEASE consider posting in here with information about any of the above noted "e-tailers" and your experiences: condition of shipment, time it took to receive item, hidden fees, etc.

Any/all of the above would help others make an informed decision about whether or not to make an online order.  :r2d2line:

I'll reply with a few general thoughts on some of the options posted:

Ebay - I used ebay religiously to buy & sell for years. I find the drawbacks now outweigh the positives, especially since they have taken away the seller's right to charge what they feel is fair for shipping. I will not order through ebay any longer as paying $25 shipping for one comic book for $10 action figure just doesn't make sense. I'd love to hear about other peoples' ways of dealing with this issue if a workaround exists.

I hate the Global Shipping program. It's a total rip off. I just avoid sellers using that. It's so easy to cancel an order in Ebay now too which is annoying as a seller. I have heard from some sellers that they will stop using g that global shipping program cause too many people cancel after finding how expensive it is.

For me, I ship out of the US and honestly set my shipping prices for Canada high cause I don't want to use Canadapost.

I recently sold a 6" Fett here for a really good price to help out a fellow Canadian. Didn't realize how expensive Canadapost is now. It cost over $14 to ship across Canada. That same day using USPS,  I shipped three packages to the US that were the same size as the one I shipped in Canada and that came to just over $13 after the exchange to CDN dollars for 3 packages. Thanks to Canadapost, I do all my selling to the US unless I'm doing a favour for someone on this forum.

Basically, I just buy from Walmart.ca now or get my friend in US to by for me and ship to me.

i havent sold anything really in over 2 years but when i did thats how it was. ive sent things to friends recently and the cost was simliar as before. the only difference is any package you send in canada has a tracking number and when you send to the states to get a tracking number you end up paying over 20 dollars prob for something like a small light box with some figures in it.

your lucky you are able to cross the border and send stuff in the US instead of using CanadaPost. tech i could get a P.O Box if i went across the border but i dont sell enough or care to do that. plus i need to get an enhanced license or Passport as i cant even get into the U.S right now.

it sucks! canadapost is a rip off!

I've updated the list.

Would people prefer a separate section for U.S. stores that ship to Canada?

Also, when I list vintage it refers to 1977-1985, modern is 1995 and on, current is stuff now shipping or recently shipped.  It also applies to action figures, not Funko or games, etc.

Also, I think it might be nice to add a "verified user" type of thing so we can see what stores troopers have actually ordered from, but don't know what term would be good for that.  I know I tend to give more credibility to Amazon reviews from "verified buyers".

Finally, this is a work in progress.  Any suggestions are welcome.  I'm trying to keep it from getting too bulky.  That's why I'm trying a simple Pros and Cons approach; gives us a quick overview of a site.  It can change though.

The overview is amazing. I'm hoping people will start separate threads for each vendor, so that there is a more concise place to look solely for reviews about TRU.ca or canucktables - the same as we have in the user feedback area. Your initial post will remain the one stop shopping place for people wanting to know their options.

Wow, great list!

Here is another canadian site you could add: actionfigurehq.com
Mostly for modern loose.

Prices in US - Almost ordered once, but exchange rate and shipping were prohibitive.

Yes, that would be ideal. This thread is a good summary, but a post (or poll) for each online retailer so people could comment and/or rate them would be great.

Awesome job, guys!

Excellent resource, thanks for posting this.
I have ordered some Hot Toys and Sideshow figures from Starbase Collectibles. They have a Facebook page. Good to deal with and when coming from Alberta no tax! Shipping runs around $20 are so for a standard 12" figure. At least last time I ordered. Plopping down $300 for a Hot Toys figure these days is getting expensive. If only I could win the lottery.

How about US sites? That was a great list of Canadian sites, but I dont mind shopping from the US even though the prices are high for us right now.
