Baze Malbus 5 POA with articulated elbows
« on: February 02, 2017, 01:36:57 PM »

Well, I told myself I wasn't going to do it, but changed my mind.  My Baze can now hold his rifle 2-handed.  I forgot to take pics, but his arms telescope out so they can bend but if I put the arm straight, I can push it in to cover the joint and you'll just see a cut joint instead.  I think I'm done with this and don't expect to do anymore.  I just wanted these two guys to at least hold their weapons properly. Sick of having to do this...haha.

With Chirrut

With Jyn and K2SO.  Cassian hasn't shown up in Canada (yet) which is why I don't have him.

Thanks.  Really wish I didn't have to do that.  If Hasbro had only just given them all selective extra points of articulation like the did back in the Saga years so they can hold their weapons properly, I would have been happy.

Amazing job!!

Are your joints Revotech or someone else. If so, where did you get them from?

This is actually why I hate doing these.  All the joints I used are from spare G.I.Joe arms that I basically cut up so that I can use them for these Star Wars projects.  I have destroyed 3 sets now.

I used ROC Breaker for my Flametrooper and Chirrut.  For Baze, I used a 25th Airborne's arms.  I have no idea where to get Revotech stuff and if I'm not mistaken, even if I could, it would be expensive cause we live in Canada...haha.

There is nowhere.  I tried everything.  75 Star Cases arrived yesterday from one of those places you've probably already visited and it was based $1 for each one shipped.  Plus customs.  It sucked but I've been trying for 6 months to get Star Cases here in Canada and I gave up.

One of the online guys needs to step up.

damn! well thanks for the response! i didnt think their was any. sometimes on facebook i see people selling things. thats prob the best bet without getting super gouged for shipping but i dont see that too often or enough to make it worth it either i suppose.

maybe something in time will happen. im sure Canada is that lame when it comes to this. American Excess at its finest :)

I got quotes from ''collectingwarehouse'' at some point. Shipping to Canada was close to 40-50% of the cost of the actual items (e.g. 200 starcases at 1.65 USD costed 330$ + 160$ to ship). With a US address, it was 3-4 times less (12-15% of items e.g. 45$)

I ended up buying several from ''cosmictoys.ca'' who had a lot at some point, price was about same as if I had shipped + customs without the trouble.

I still could use some of the later formats (Starcases 4 for Saga/Legacy, 5 for smaller Legacy's  and 6 for black series) and some clear stands...

If you have a specific set of wants, I can have them shipped to a US address and then ship them to Canada privately possibly.
