Prowse documentary

if you have netflix check out "I am your father".

I didn't love it, but still found it interesting.

I saw it.  I didn't feel as sympathetic to Prowse the way the documentary seemed to want me to be, except for the way he was seemingly blacklisted.

yeah, I have no clue if he is "guilty" of what some allege, but surely they can let him back into Celebration after all these years...especially since Lucas isn't even in charge anymore.

I wanted to see the "reveal" they filmed in the end...all that build up for nothing, lol.

I was disappointed they didn't show that final scene either. I feel bad for Prowse but at the same time I think he may have said things he maybe shouldn't have. At this point in time though that should all be water under the bridge and they should be embracing his contribution a little bit more. He won't be around forever.

I watched it a few months back.  I didn't love it, I didn't hate it but it was interesting to watch.

I don't want to sound like I'm deranged but it was very anticlimactic at the end because they didn't show the scene with his face instead of Sebastian Shaw.  Much like The Grizzly Man doc where they didn't play the recording of him dying at the end (that's what I mean by not sounding like I'm deranged).

Spoiler if you haven't seen it....

I can understand that Prowse was upset that he didn't get his "face" time in ROTJ but he was still fairly young and they had to go with a older gent closer in age to Obi-Wan.

And I think Kasdan and Lucas came up with the plot twist that Vader was Luke's father - not Prowse.

I would hope that Lucas came up with Darth Vader being Luke's father - the name directly translates to "Dark Father" in German!  :rollfloorlaffsmiley:
