Some Cineplex theatres will be holding a Star Wars The Last Jedi Opening Night Fan Event on Thursday, December 14.

I bought 2 tickets for this, Landmark Cinemas in Kitchener/Waterloo at the Ira Needles Boardwalk location. Movie will be show in Real 3D, whatever that means. The event starts at 6pm, although I have no idea what time they'll show the movie. It was fairly expensive, almost $30 per seat, but I figured I'd splurge on my first viewing.

I bought my tickets for it as well, at the Silver City St. VItal theatre in Winnipeg. The little extras they mentioned piqued my curiosity. I see AMC, Cinemark and other chains in the states are advertising a similar (maybe exactly the same? ) event. Perhaps more details will be revealed as we get closer to the release date.

taking the family to see it on Imax 3D on the Saturday.

It will be the first time my kids see a sw movie on the big screen.

Right on ambasah that will be great to have the kids seeing one of these on the big screen! My son was 5 when he got to see his first (Force Awakens). Their anticipation and excitement will feed off of yours, it makes for alot of fun leading up to that day and fun in getting to finally see it together.
I can't say either of us was impressed with them killing off Han Solo that night but it did trigger some good discussion afterwards if that's any consolation.

If anyone in Quebec is still looking at going to the fan event, Guzzo is also offering the opening night special event:
